Jaideep Ahlawat Reveals Vijay Varma Verbally Abused Him For Winning An Award, 'Award Kha Gaya..'

Jaideep Ahlawat is an extremely talented actor who is known for his stint in Hindi films and series. The actor graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India and thereafter played several small roles before gaining prominence with the 2012 crime film, Gangs Of Wasseypur. The actor was last seen in the role of 'Maharaj Jadunath' in Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan's debut film, Maharaj. As for television series, he was last seen in Paatal Lok 2.

Jaideep Ahlawat reveals Vijay Verma cussed at him after winning an award

Bollywood rivalries are not unheard of. However, actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma have proven them wrong on various occasions with their brotherhood and camaraderie. Now, the Pataal Lok actor has opened up about the fun relationship he shares with his Jaane Jaan co-star. Jaideep, during a chat with Puja Talwar, revealed how his friend, Vijay, once lightheartedly cussed at him for winning an award for which both of them were nominated. During the conversation, Jaideep opened up about his contemporaries, Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Varma. He revealed how they share a healthy competition with each other. 

Jaideep then recalled a hilarious anecdote that still cracked him up. He shared that while he was nominated for an award for his spectacular performance in Maharaj, Vijay was also nominated for an award in the same category. However, Jaideep won the title and took home the prize. While Vijay was happy about his friend's success on the night of the award ceremony, he called Jaideep the next day and cussed at him for taking his award. He was quoted saying:

"But agle din mujhe gaaliyan de raha hai ki ye mera award kha gaya. That’s so healthy and funny; it aligns your system."

Jaideep Ahlawat's friendship with Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Varma is almost two decades old. The trio studied together at the Film and Television Institute of India in 2005. Hence, when he looks at them being nominated for awards today and even giving them to each other, he finds it unimaginable. On the professional front, the trio shared the screen in the 2012 film, Chittagong.

Jaideep Ahlawat previously revealed if he would do a romantic role

Earlier in an interview with ANI, Jaideep Ahlawat revealed if his fans will get to see him in a romantic role. Jaideep, who is known for his versatility as an actor, revealed that even though he loves to try different roles, he doesnt think he would fit playing a romantic character. He added that he may never be considered for lead roles in traditional Bollywood romantic films. He stated:

"Mai toh kar luna, Koi lega he nai muje, shayad mai galat hoon but samne wala ko believe karna padega."

Jaideep was last seen in the most awaited second season of Paatal Lok. However, that is not all. His fans will also get to see him locking horns with Manoj Bajpayee in the third season of the hit series, The Family Man.
