The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show aired on, July 12, 2025, featured a stellar line-up of OTT stars, which included Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Pratik Gandhi, and Jitendra Kumar. The actors shared stories of their journey to stardom, personal anecdotes and more. However, the episode's highlight was the surprise appearance of Chinese rapper, singer, and performer, Jackson Wang, whose infectious energy lit up the stage. Jackson has been all over Indian media promoting his new album, MAGICMAN 2. This marks his second visit to India, and he brought his signature energy, dance moves, and charm to the show. Jackson even did bhangra with the guests and Kapil, making the audience cheer with joy. However, one of his statements left fans a bit concerned.
Kapil, on his show, mentioned how Jackson's popularity is growing immensely in India, especially among the young fans. But Jackson, known for his candid humour, responded with a bittersweet and cheeky comment, saying, 'Never,' when asked if he has felt loved here. Jackson explained that despite being in India for the second time, his club visits during this trip were underwhelming as no one recognised him. He further added that whenever someone asked for his autograph, it was always 'for a friend,' never for themselves.
Kapil and the audience tried to cheer him, Kapil asked who all were Jackson's fans in the audience, and everyone raised their hands. Jackson jokingly called the audience 'Very good actors'. Some fans were worried, but those who are well aware of his playful personality knew the singer was just being funny. He ended that segment by dramatically saying:
"Maybe this is my last visit to India. I am so sad."
During a fun banter, Kapil Sharma teased Jackson about his friendship with Bollywood star, Disha Patani, as the two were seen exploring Mumbai together during his previous visit to India. Jackson clarified they were 'only friends.' Jackson, in his recent interviews and podcast, has publicly denied dating anyone currently. On the BeerBiceps podcast, he admitted he is not going to commit to anything in the moment, as his focus is primarily on his career.
Jackson Wang first visited India in 2023 during the Lollapalooza India music festival, after his show, he was later seen roaming around the streets of Mumbai, gaining hands-on experience of the dream city. He even made headlines earlier this year for his collaboration with Punjabi pop icon, Diljit Dosanjh for the song Buck. He was back in India in June, 2025, for the promotion of his new album, MAGICMAN 2.
