Twitch has experienced massive growth over the last few years. But the rising popularity of the live-streaming platform has been accompanied by increasing controversies surrounding popular streamers on the platform. Most recently, Emiru has been has the centre of attention after her absence following a traumatic a**ault at TwitchCon 2025. The streamer called out her fellow streamer, Mizkif, for treating her inappropriately, and now fans are curious to know if she will ever return to Twitch or if her journey on the show has come to an end.
Emily-Beth Schunk, also known as Emiru, is recognised for her League of Legends streams and vibrant cosplay content, which has helped her build a loyal community on the platform. However, she did not go live on Twitch in October 2025. Her absence comes after two major incidents, which left her and the streaming world shaken. First was an a**ult during TwitchCon, and second was her accusations against her former partner, Mizkif.

Until now, Emiru has not announced when or if she will return to the streaming platform or not. According to sources close to the creator, Emiru is presently focused on her healing and managing her ongoing legal cases. A report from People revealed that Emiru is presently prioritising her emotional recovery and safety before making any decisions about her return to the platform or her future. Meanwhile, fans have continued to express their support for Emiru through comments and heartfelt messages.

Twitch has witnessed an upward trend in recent years, but a turning point for the platform came at TwitchCon 2025 when a male attendee crossed the security at the meet-and-greet session and assaulted Emiru on stage. The incident was captured on video and immediately went viral, drawing backlash on social media. Twitch later clarified that the man had been permanently banned from the plot and its future events, but this did not alleviate the anger of fans. Sharing a public apology, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said:
"We take creator safety very seriously, and we are committed to learning from this to ensure it never happens again."

Multiple weeks after the assault, Emiru made headlines again. But this time it was for publicly accusing her fellow streamer, Mizkif (Matthew Rinaudo), of s**ual a**ault, emotional abuse, and blackmail. In a now viral post, she shared that she was silent for months due to fear but decided to speak after feeling unsafe. Consequently, Emiru has filed restraining orders in both Texas and California related to both incidents. Although Mizkif denied the allegations, he has not returned to regular streaming either.

As Twitch has maintained silence on whether it will take any further action in Emiru's case, fans are curious about her possible return.
