YouTuber, Apoorva Mukhija a.k.a The Rebel Kid, came into the limelight after she made vulgar remarks on Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India Got Latent. Since then, the young YouTuber has been under public scrunity. From receiving rape and death threats to acid attack threats, Apoorva went through a lot. However, in April 2025, Apoorva made a powerful comeback. As per The Hindustan Times report, the YouTuber was all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025. But now, after her playful remark to a fan's request clearly pointed out that she is quite reluctant to appear in the prestigious film festival.

On May 12, 2025, one of Apoorva’s fans wanted her presence in the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. It was during a fun segment on social media, a user started an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, where the fan mentioned the YouTuber’s name in response to a question dropped during the session, which can be read as: “Which creator do you want to see at Cannes this year?” As the post came to Apoorva’s notice, she took to her Instagram Stories and reshared the post with a witty reply. She wrote, “Gaali nahi khani”, implying that her presence at the prestigious event might again spark online criticism.

For the uninitiated, in February 2025, Apoorva was one of the panellists in Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India Got Latent. The panellists also included YouTuber, Ashish Chanchlani, and comedian, Jaspreet Singh. It was a bonus episode, where Ranveer Allahabadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, was also featured alongside the other panellists. The controversy started when both Apoorva and Ranveer made vulgar comments on the show. Soon, the clips of the YouTubers went viral and both of them faced an extreme backlash. Following the public outrage, Samay Raina deleted all the episodes of his show. Several complaints were made against Apoorva for her disgusting comments on the show.

Born and brought up in Noida, Apoorva completed her education at Manipal University. The young content creator gained recognition with her Instagram reels during the COVID-19 lockdown. Through her mini vlogs, Apoorva has won many young hearts. Apoorva also made collaborations with popular brands such as OnePlus, Netflix, Spotify, Google, Hotstar, Amazon, Maybelline and Meta. She also tried her luck in acting.

In 2023, she made her acting debut with the Hindi web series, Who’s Your Gynac. Apoorva also appeared in a YouTube drama series, Baat Pakki, by Terribly Tiny Tales and sponsored by Manyavar-Mohey. Now, Apoorva made her debut in Bollywood with the film, Nadaaniyan, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. The film also featured YouTuber, Agasthya Shah. While, Agasthya attended the film’s premiere and shared moments from the film’s sets, Apoorva remained silent, possibly due to the legal issues surrounding the IGL controversy.
