After Vanishing On Jet Ski, Influencer, Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento, 22, Found Dead After 3 Days

The mysterious deaths of young influencers have become increasingly common in recent times. Just a few days ago, a Mexican influencer, Esmeralda Ferrer Garibay, her husband, and two children were found dead in a car in San Andrés, Mexico. Their bodies were found wrapped in plastic with no clue about the culprit. 

Now, another name has been added to this unsettling list with the sudden demise of Brazilian influencer Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento, 22. The young star who disappeared during a jet ski ride has now been found dead after three days. 

How did Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento vanish in Brazil? 

Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento, a popular TikTok influencer, went on a trip to Brazil with her new friends she had met just weeks earlier. According to a report by People, the 22-year-old vanished during a jet ski outing on August 31, 2025, in Igarat, Brazil. Her disappearance instantly began a desperate search. On September 3, 2025, three days after the disappearance, authorities confirmed her body had been recovered from the dam.

One relative who was still there identified Jaqueline's body, and the investigation agency has booked a case over her suspicious death. Metro reported that her close ones revealed two people who accompanied her on the jet ski gave conflicting statements about what happened, deepening the mystery. Consequently, a fast-paced investigation is being carried out, and Civil Police are now analyzing security camera footage from a nearby residence. On the other hand, her body has been sent to the Forensic Medical Institute to confirm the cause of death.

What is the mystery around Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento's death?

According to the same outlet, Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento's friends revealed that she could not swim, raising further questions about why she was on the watercraft without proper precautions. Plus, she was accompanied by two friends she had made some time ago. Her close friend and fellow content creator, Gabrielle Reis, recalled the influencer as a 'Loving soul' who always thought of others. Sharing how they stopped her going, Gabrielle told the Brazilian outlet Metrópoles:

"All of our close friends and I begged her not to go because none of us would be able to keep up..Then she kept pestering us all week, saying, 'Let's go, let's go.' In the end, she went. But we fought about the way she was living her life so intensely. Sometimes she could be naïve."

Gabrielle Reis added that Jaqueline insisted on joining the new friends for the trip, even though her old circle had begged her not to go. Meanwhile, Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento used to live with her parents and younger sister, in Parque de Taipas, northern thern Sao Paulo. Her friends described her as docile, generous, and full of energy. Gabrielle said, "She was always considerate of others." Jaqueline had over 12,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 2,000 on TikTok.
