Hulk Hogan And Linda Hogan's Divorce Has Controversial Reasons, Infidelity, Physical Abuse And More

Hulk Hogan’s death at the age of 71 has left a void in the world of wrestling. Just like his professional achievements, Hulk’s personal life had also hogged the limelight. Hulk had three marriages, and two of them had led to divorce. From his first marriage to Linda Hogan, he welcomed two children, Brooke Hogan and Nick Hogan. However, it was his divorce from Linda that caused no less than a controversy.

Hulk tied the knot with Linda in 1983, and in 2007, it was Linda who filed for divorce. There were rumours that the legendary wrestler had allegedly cheated on his wife with his daughter’s best friend, Christiane Plante. This was one of the reasons behind their split. Later, in March 2025, Linda publicly exposed Hulk and split beans about what went wrong in their marriage.

Hulk Hogan’s alleged affair with Christiane Plante was once addressed by the latter herself. Earlier, in a 2008 interview with the National Enquirer, Christiane shared that her and Hulk’s relationship developed, when the latter and his then-wife, Linda, privately knew their marriage was ending. She revealed that although there were no official papers of their separation, Hulk had already left Linda by then. In the same interview, she also disclosed that she later came to understand her mistake and felt guilty. She also apologised to her best friend, Brooke.

Speaking with E! News, later Linda’s publicist also addressed the same issue. The publicist revealed that when Linda found out about her husband’s affair with Christiane, she called it quits. In March 2025, Linda made a shocking video, and claimed that her husband is a liar and a s*x addict. Brooke also shared a cryptic post on her MySpace handle, and later deleted it. Her note can be read as:

"When your best friend and one of your closest family members that you have loved unconditionally since your first day on this Earth, betray you together... you will never forget the hurt they caused you."

Hulk Hogan reportedly physically abused his ex-wife, Linda

Earlier this year, in March 2025, in the shocking video shared by Linda, she also claimed that Hulk Hogan had physically and mentally abused her. In the video, Linda revealed that Hulk used to abuse her physically, and these things also hampered the mental peace of their children, Brooke and Nick. Linda also shared that although many years had passed, she couldn’t move on. In fact, Linda also shared many times that she tried to mend things between her and Hulk, but the latter was in no mood to resolve the problems. In her words:

"Hulk tore my shirt. He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, and pounding walls. I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages. My kids to this day are still reeling, and they can't get their feet back on planet Earth. I can't get my life back on track either... I don't know where I fit in this world anymore."
