Hina Khan Is Not As 'Sanskari' As Her 'YRKKH' Character, 'Akshara', Says Mom-In-Law, 'Kaun Panga..'

Hina Khan recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Rocky Jaiswal. The actress has been battling breast cancer, but hasn't let the disease slow her down. The actress and her husband are currently participating in the reality show, Pati Patni Aur Panga. The latest episode of the show invited the couples' mothers-in-law to share more about them. Nonetheless, it was Hina's mother-in-law who revealed that she does not cook at home and is not as 'sanskari' as her character, 'Akshara' in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which left everyone in splits.

Hina Khan's mother-in-law shares her views about the actor

In the latest episode of Pati Patni Aur Panga, Rocky Jaiswal revealed that his mother is more afraid of Hina Khan than him. To which the actress's saas added that she dislikes one thing about her that even though Hina doesn't know how to cook and is not interested in cooking, she always points out mistakes in her cooking. She was quoted as saying:

"I want to tell something. I dislike this one thing about her. I cook different dishes the whole day, and even though she has no knowledge about the spices or even has a kitchen in her dictionary, she still picks out mistakes in the food. Nakhre bahut hai. Saas toh hoon, par ghar par isse kaun panga lega."

In the same conversation, Rocky's mother added that when Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai used to air, she would often watch Hina Khan in the role and pray that she would get a daughter-in-law like the character, 'Akshara'. However, she got the actress, but she doesn't possess any qualities of her role. Host, Munawar Faruqui then clarified that she meant Hina is not as sanskari as her character was in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She was quoted as saying:

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai jab chal raha tha, toh yeh jo acting karti thi, jo bhi iska role tha, isko main roz dekhti aur mere dil se aise hota tha ki ishwar mujhe bus aise hi bahu de do. Bahu toh vaisi mil gayi par utni sanskari nahi hai. Lekin yeh jaan hai humari."

Hina Khan began her acting journey with the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, in 2009 and became a household name with her role as 'Akshara'. Her fans were left heartbroken when she marked her exit from the same. The show went on to become a huge hit and one of the longest-running on television. Hina and Rocky met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, while she was the lead actress, and Rocky was part of the crew.

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal made their relationship official in 2017 and surprised their fans with the announcement of their wedding in June 2025. She shared the pictures of her ceremony with a heartfelt caption that read:

"From two different worlds, we built a universe of love. Our differences faded, and our hearts aligned, creating a bond that would last lifetimes. We are our home, our light, our hope and together, we transcend all barriers. Today, our union is forever sealed in love and law. We seek your Blessings and Wishes as Wife and Husband."
