Hema Malini Reacts To Reports Of Dharmendra's Death, Calls It 'Unforgivable' And 'Disrespectful'

The wee hours of November 11, 2025, flashed headlines of veteran Bollywood actor, Dharmendra’s death. Ever since the reports surfaced online, his humongous fans across the globe began posting condolences, mourning the loss of the veteran actor. However, his daughter, Esha, rubbished the reports and stated her father is stable. Now, Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, clarified the news with her first statement

Hema Malini reacts to reports of Dharmendra’s death

After Esha Deol’s fierce reaction to the hoax of her papa’s death, Hema released her first statement on X and called the news channels for being irresponsible. Taking to her X handle, Hema penned:

“What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

Esha Deol rubbished the reports of Dharmendra’s death

Moments after the news of Dharmendra’s death surfaced in the headlines, his daughter, Esha Deol, lashed out at the media and shut down the rumours with her strong words. Taking to her IG handle, she penned:

“The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”

What led to the rumours of Dharmendra’s death?

On November 10, 2025, Dharmendra felt unwell and was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Late at night, many celebrities, including Salman Khan, Govinda, Ameesha Patel, Shah Rukh Khan, and others, paid a visit to the actor. The media also spotted a visibly upset Sunny Deol outside the hospital.

Many reports also claimed that Dharmendra was put on life support, and since then, rumours about his death surfaced. However, his son, Sunny Deol, clarified the news and ensured the veteran actor’s fans that Dharmendra was doing fine and was recovering. Sunny’s statement can be read as:

“Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy."
