Govinda's First Appearance After Sunita Ahuja Files DIVORCE, Looks Unfazed By Her Claims Of Cheating

Govinda's personal life has once again become a media circus, following reports that his wife, Sunita Ahuja, has filed a divorce case against him in the Bandra Family Court. However, Sunita has not yet shared any revelation on the same. Amidst it, Govinda made his first public appearance and looked unfazed by it.

On August 22, 2025, Govinda made his first public appearance amidst reports of his divorce. In the video, Govinda was dressed up in an all-white ensemble. He was dressed in white jeans, a white jacket, and a white t-shirt underneath. He styled his look with a thin moustache and clean-shaven beard. Seeing the photographers, he posed for them, sent out flying kisses and waved at them. The actor looked unfazed by his wife, Sunita's, claims of cheating and desertion. 

Sunita Ahuja filed a divorce case against Govinda

According to a report by Hauterrfly, Sunita Ahuja has filed a divorce case against her husband, Govinda, in the Bandra Family Court. Not only this, she even accused him of adultery, cruelty, cheating and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. However, Govinda has been absconding from all the hearings, while Sunita has been attending all the hearings personally. Not only this, Govinda even skipped the court-mandated counselling session. 

When Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, slammed his inner circle for his downfall

Earlier, in an interview with The Powerful Humans, Govinda's wife, Sunita, slammed Govinda and the people he surrounds himself with, who don't tell him the truth about the work he wants to do. Without naming anyone she shared that people should tell him what is working in the industry and what is not. She said:

"Today he has four people - a writer, a musician, a secretary and a lawyer friend. They are of no use. They only say, ‘wah, wah!’ If he makes music, they say ‘wah, wah... kamaal kar diya.’ They should tell him the truth. When I tell him the truth, he gets upset.”

Sunita further added that Govinda needs to leave his '90s heroic demeanour and be open to diverse characters. There are so many OTT platforms and so many scopes of different roles. She said:

"I tell him the 90s era is over. It is 2025. Look at what’s working on Netflix and digital platforms. But he stays with his ‘wah, wah production’. I told him, ‘Change your circle. For as long as you have these 4–5 people, they won’t let you go forward.'"

Govinda got married to his wife, Sunita in March 1987. They have been together for almost 37 years. However, reports of their divorce made rounds on February 25, 2025. A source close to the couple revealed that Sunita wants to end her marriage with Govinda. She had even sent a separation notice, but there has been no movement on it since then.
