Govinda's Daughter, Tina Breaks Silence On Parents' Divorce, 'Kya Bolun Main, He Is Not Even In...'

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja's separation rumours have been circulating since last year. While earlier the couple dismissed the same, the buzz resurfaced after a report claimed that Sunita filed for a divorce case in December 2024. She has been attending the hearings. On the other hand, Govinda is absconding. Now, their daughter, Tina Ahuja, spoke about the whole issue. 

Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja, breaks the silence on her parents' divorce

Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Govinda's daughter was questioned about her parents' divorce buzz. She instantly replied that it is all fake and called them rumours. She also requested that media should not pay any attention to the separation buzz. Tina was quoted as saying:

"It's all rumours.I don't pay attention to these rumours."

When she was further questioned about how her parents have been dealing with such news, she revealed that she cannot say anything. She also added that her father is not in the country. Further, Tina mentioned that she is blessed to have a family, and is amused at people's concern about her family's well-being. She said:

"Kya bolun mein? He is not even in the country. I feel blessed to have a beautiful family and I am really grateful for all the concern, love and support we have been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones."

Govinda made his first public appearance amidst reports claiming his wife, Sunita Ahuja, has filed a divorce case against him

On August 22, 2025, Govinda made his first public appearance amidst reports of his divorce. In the video, Govinda was dressed up in an all-white ensemble. He was dressed in white jeans, a white jacket, and a white t-shirt underneath. He styled his look with a thin moustache and clean-shaven beard. Seeing the photographers, he posed for them, sent out flying kisses and waved at them. The actor looked unfazed by his wife, Sunita's, claims of cheating and desertion. 

Sunita Ahuja filed a divorce case against Govinda

According to a report by Hauterrfly, Sunita Ahuja had previously filed a divorce case against her husband, Govinda, in the Bandra Family Court. Not only this, she even accused him of adultery, cruelty, cheating and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. However, Govinda has been absconding from all the hearings, while Sunita has been attending all the hearings personally. Not only this, Govinda even skipped the court-mandated counselling session.

Govinda got married to his wife, Sunita in March 1987. They have been together for almost 37 years. However, reports of their divorce made rounds on February 25, 2025. A source close to the couple revealed that Sunita wants to end her marriage with Govinda. She had even sent a separation notice, but there has been no movement on it since then. 

It is worth mentioning that Govinda's manager also called the news false and claimed that the family will come together for the Ganpati celebration.
