Govinda Receives BACKLASH For Resting Head On Girl's Shoulder In Flight, 'Iski Biwi Sahi Bolti Hai'

Govinda, who was hailed as the '80s and '90s superhit hero, has been trying to make a comeback as the superstar he once was. However, the actor recently showed off his new look. He was seen showing off a moustache and was dressed up in a tuxedo and glasses. While fans were wondering if he was going to make a comeback on the silver screen, or if the new look was for a reality show shoot. Meanwhile, a video went viral, wherein a man looking like Govinda was seen resting his head on a girl's shoulder. Since then, netizens have been slamming him. 

Govinda slammed for his recent action in a viral clip

In a video that has made it on the internet, the man, who looked like Govinda was seen resting his head on a girl's shoulder, who was seated right beside him. The video looked awkward and the girl felt uncomfortable. Govinda was sporting the same moustache-look on the flight. However, it is also not clear whether it was an actual video or a staged one for a shoot. 

As soon as the video went viral, netizens lashed out at him. One user wrote, "Iski biwi sahi hi bolti hai. Yehi sab harqaton ke karan goli maari thi biwi ne (allegedly of course)." Another pointed out that the man in the video looks like the actor's body double. A third one wrote, "Had kar di aapne!" A fourth one commented, "Omg that is so creepy! Eww."

When Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, slammed his inner circle for his downfall

Earlier, in an interview with The Powerful Humans, Govinda's wife, Sunita, slammed Govinda and the people he surrounds himself with, who don't tell him the truth about the work he wants to do. Without naming anyone she shared that people should tell him what is working in the industry and what is not. She said:

"Today he has four people - a writer, a musician, a secretary and a lawyer friend. They are of no use. They only say, ‘wah, wah!’ If he makes music, they say ‘wah, wah... kamaal kar diya.’ They should tell him the truth. When I tell him the truth, he gets upset.”

Sunita further added that Govinda needs to leave his '90s heroic demeanour and be open to diverse characters. There are so many OTT platforms and so many scopes of different roles. She said:

"I tell him the 90s era is over. It is 2025. Look at what’s working on Netflix and digital platforms. But he stays with his ‘wah, wah production’. I told him, ‘Change your circle. For as long as you have these 4–5 people, they won’t let you go forward.'"

More about Govinda's personal life

Govinda got married to his wife, Sunita in March 1987. They have been together for almost 37 years. However, reports of their divorce made rounds on February 25, 2025. A source close to the couple revealed that Sunita wants to end her marriage with Govinda. She had even sent a separation notice, but there has been no movement on it since then.
