Govinda, born Govind Arun Ahuja, is an actor and politician. The actor has done 150+ films in his acting career and is known for his satirical performances and dance skills. He was the leading actor throughout the 90s and was last seen in Sikander Bharti's 2019 comedy-drama, Rangeela Raja. However, the busy nature of his career made him miss a lot of moments with his kids.
Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, recently revealed that her father was rarely home during her childhood. She shared that the actor's busy schedule kept him away from his family as he was at the peak of his career during the 1990s. Tina also shared that as a kid, she was closer to her mother as she was the primary caregiver when she was little. However, things changed as she developed a bond with her father later in life when she started managing his work.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tina Ahuja revealed that her father was mostly absent during her childhood and hardly ever visited her school. She shared that working with him was a way for her to get to know her father. For the unversed, the actress had initially tried her hand at acting, but when that didn't work, she opted to work behind the scenes. Tina shared:
"People don’t know this, but my dad has hardly come to my school. In my school days, my dad was never around. It was always my mom getting our lunch. He was hardly there. This was one way of me getting to know my dad well. He was either in Hyderabad or Switzerland. So, I started really liking working with Dad. People started giving me extra attention and importance. I had a company, we were doing lots of shows and events with him. Just being busy around him, head to toe."
In the same conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Tina Ahuja shared that she enjoyed working with her father, Govinda, on different projects. She elaborated that she had shifted her focus to doing what she actually liked as she believed that what was meant to happen would happen.
Tina also shared that she is blessed that she doesn't have the responsibility of being the breadwinner in her household. She added that she eventually started enjoying working with her father. In her words:

"I decided that I might as well start working with my dad and start doing things that I enjoy. If things have to happen, they’ll happen. I don’t need to run the house by the grace of God. I actually started enjoying working with my father, and I didn’t even realise that I’d left a lot of things behind. I was like, 'Chuck it, I don’t want to do this. I would like to do things that I want to be a part of.'"
