The journey of nourishing a little life inside your belly for nine months is not at all easy! It comes with dizzy days, sleepless nights and a volcano of mood swings. But everything becomes worthwhile when you hold your little baby for the first time in your arms. The pain and nausea, take a back seat when the moment you hear first cries of your little baby in the delivery room. And the recent one to join the 'mama bear' brigade is a famous wrestler, Geeta Phogat. Before we take you further into the story, let us take a look at Geeta Phogat's love story with the man of her dreams, Pawan Kumar Saroha. Being from the same industry, the duo first met in the year 2012, but it was in the year 2016 when they got attracted towards each other. On November 20, 2016, Geeta and Pawan had tied the knot in a grand ceremony. This year on their third wedding anniversary, Geeta had shared an adorable note for her 'dearest husband' that could be read as "To my wonderful husband, who has shown me what love really is. Who is the reason for my happy days and comforts me in my sad ones. I am so proud to be your wife. I love you Moku. Happy 3rd Anniversary My Soulmate."
On December 24, 2019, Geeta and Pawan welcomed their son and the ace wrestler took to her Instagram handle and posted a happy family picture with her hubby and her new-born baby. Alongside it, she wrote, "HELLO BOY! WELCOME TO THE WORLD. He is here, we are so much in love please give him your love and blessings. He made our life perfect now. Recently, Geeta's little sister, Babita Phogat had tied the knot with Vivek Suhag on December 1, 2019, and on December 2, 2019, the duo had hosted a reception ceremony. But the highlight of the night was the surprise baby shower hosted for Geeta by her sisters and her friends. The makeup artist, Neetu Antil had shared the pictures of the same on her Instagram story.

In September 2019, Geeta had shared the news of her pregnancy on her Instagram with a beautiful baby bump picture. Along with it, she had written, "A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside… when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds that little one is never alone.” You never understand life until it grows inside of you." Geeta had also shared in one of her Instagram posts that motherhood is changing her for the better. She had written, "Truthfully, being pregnant is changing me as a person. Each day is part of this amazing journey that has completely shifted the focus of my life."
For those who don't know, Aamir Khan's hit film, Dangal was inspired by the Phogat sisters. And the characters played by Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra were inspired by the wrestler sisters, Geeta and Babita's life. In an interview with the Scoopwhoop, Geeta had talked about the movie and how it reminded her of her childhood. She had said, "Yes, it is true that we got to relive our childhood. Not many people get that chance. But will I go back to those times? No way! (laughs) It was the hardest times of our lives. Lagta hai bachpan chheen gaya humaara. (Feels like our childhood was stolen from us) But we are seeing the results now. We have won medals, we have achieved quite a lot and we are happy now. Not once, but a thousand times I felt I should run away from all this. (laughs) Woh "Haanikarak baapu" song jo hai, woh sahi banaaya hai. (Haanikarak baapu song is perfectly made!)."
In an interview with the Asian Age, Geeta had shared that people had warned her father that he will not be able to marry their daughters if they continued playing the same. She was quoted as saying, "I have seen my father defying societal norms and investing his time and energy on us. He was ridiculed and criticised by the community for asking girls to seek a career in wrestling. But he had vision and was least worried when elders warned him his daughters would not find grooms.
