Spiritual Leader Gaur Gopal Das Reveals The Biggest Regret Of His Life, 'Mere Pitaji Chain Smoker..'

Motivational speaker, Prabhu Gaur Gopal Das is one of the most loved and followed spiritual gurus. An active member of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Gopal Das often gives life lessons to his millions of followers across the world. The celebrity monk recently talked about the biggest regret of his life.

Gaur Gopal Das reveals why he didn’t speak to his father for two years

During his appearance on Rajat Sharma’s show, Aap Ki Adalat, Gaur Gopal Das spoke about the regret he carries in his life. When the anchor asked Gopal Das why he didn’t speak to his father for two years because of his ego, the monk replied:

“Do saal tak baatein nahi ki kyuki hamari kisi baat pe jamm nahi rahi thi. Mere pitaji chain smoker the aur chain smoker hone ki wajah se unki jo sehat thi wo bigad rahi thi. To humne bahut kosishe ki thi ki wo smoking chod de. To jab nahi ho pa raha tha unse to ye waala paitra maine apnaaya. Har saal milne jaata tha aur har saal sochta tha ki inko sorry bol doon. Lekin, jaise inhone kaha ego hain na, ego hamesha kehta hai ki aap sahih ho. Har saal gaya, nahi kaha sorry”

Going further in the interview, Gaur Gopal Das stated that because of his ego, he never said sorry to his father. But one day in 2009, he got a call from his mother, who was crying badly, and he got to know that his father had passed away. Revealing how he said sorry to his dead father, Gaur Gopal Das said:

“Unke charno mein sar rakha, kuch aasun bahaaye, jo duniya ko nahi dikhe aur kaha, ‘papa I am sorry’.”

Gaur Gopal Das urges people not to keep any grudge

Gaur Gopal Das further urged everyone present at the show that relationships are very precious. He requested everyone not to keep any grudge against anyone, and even if one has any grudge against the other person, let it go because you won’t get a chance tomorrow. And when one doesn’t get the chance to let it go, it will haunt the person throughout their life.

It was in 1996 that Gaur Gopal Das joined the ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness). At ISKCON, Gaur Gopal Das became a disciple of Radhanath Swami in a monastery in Mumbai and was highly influenced by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Gaur Gopal Das stayed at ISKCON for 22 years and learned ancient philosophy and contemporary psychology to become a life coach.
