Reason Of Fifth Harmony's Hiatus Revealed Amid Girl Group's Reunion Buzz Post Jonas Brothers Concert

The popular 2010s girl group Fifth Harmony recently sparked reunion buzz after attending the Jonas Brothers' Dallas concert. The girl group, who announced their indefinite hiatus back in 2018, arrived at the concert in matching ensembles and performed their hit track, Worth It. Fans have been excited, wondering if it's a hint at a reunion.

Amid reunion buzz, let's have a look at Fifth Harmony's statement about their hiatus

The group, which was formed with five stars Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui, eventually had to let go of the Senorita singer in 2016, who wanted to pursue her solo career. And now, as the four other stars of the group performed after a long break, they are trending all over the internet.

So, amid the excitement, let's have a look at why they took the break! It was in March 2018 that Fifth Harmony released a statement on X, announcing their hiatus after being together for six years. In the statement, Fifth Harmony revealed that they need to stay authentic to themselves, and thus, to pursue solo endeavours, they need to take a break. In the statement, Fifth Harmony wrote:

"After six years going hard, non-stop, we also realised that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavours."

What led to Fifth Harmony's hiatus? The scenes after and during Camila Cabello's split

After the group announced their hiatus, Norami told Entertainment Tonight that it was really scary for them and very much heartbreaking for her personally. The day they announced the hiatus was the toughest day for them. For the unversed, the hiatus came two years after Camila Cabello left the girl group.

While Camila announced the hiatus from the group, several rumours were going on about some issues between the five members, and the dynamic being 4:1. For the unversed, after Fifth Harmony, through a statement, announced Camilia's split from the group, she expressed her shock about the same, stating that she, herself revealed her feelings to the other girls, while they, in the statement said that they got to know about her departure through her reps only. Camila said:

"I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing. The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true."

A report has claimed that Camila Cabello's desire from the beginning to pursue a solo career caused a rift between her and the other four girls in the group. On the other hand, Billboard's report claimed that several therapy sessions had been conducted to sort out the differences that were going on in the group, which didn't work. Ultimately, it was in 2016 when Camila left the group, and it was two years later that the group announced their hiatus. Talking about how the therapy sessions had taken place, an article claimed:

"Historically devolve into a four-against-one scenario, much like the dynamic in the current public battle of statements we are seeing, and were largely unproductive."

The recent buzz about Fifth Harmony's reunion

Recently, on Sunday night, Fifth Harmony, sans Camila Cabello, performed on the stage of Jonas Brothers' concert in Texas. Along with it, the band even took to their social media handle and penned, #FiftHarmonyFollowSpree, which ignited the buzz around them by updating their bio to, 'Where were you on August 31, 2025?', which made the fans somewhat half-believe that the reunion was about to take place.
