Ashley St. Clair and billionaire, Elon Musk are currently hogging the limelight as they got involved in a new fight over their one-year-old son, Romulus. Earlier, in 2025, Ashley revealed that she gave birth to a baby boy, and the father is business tycoon, Elon Musk. Initially, the billionaire refused to acknowledge his child, but as per the latest reports, he is all set to take full charge of Romulus.

On January 12, 2026, the 54-year-old businessman took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share that he is going to file for full custody of his one-year-old son, Romulus. For the unversed, Romulus is the son of Elon Musk and 27-year-old author and influencer, Ashley St. Clair. Elon’s tweet was a reply to an X user who implied that he filed for full custody. It is noteworthy to mention that Elon and the X user’s tweet on full custody came after Ashley publicly apologised for her past harsh comments on the transgender community. In his tweet, the Tesla CEO mentioned that the author might transition his one-year-old son. The tweet shared by Elon Musk can be read as:

"I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy."

Recently, Ashley addressed her past harsh comment on the transgender community and tweeted a public apology. This apology tweet was made after an X user asked the 27-year-old author to address her past 'blatant transphobia'. In response, Ashley made a tweet mentioning that she felt immense guilt for what she said. In the tweet, Ashley shared that she has been feeling more guilty because her past remarks might have caused more pain to Romulus’s sister, Vivian, Elon Musk’s transgender daughter. Ashley explained that she hesitated to address the matter publicly as she thought people might dismiss it as insincere. The tweet shared by Ashley St. Clair can be read as:

"I feel immense guilt for my role. And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son's sister more pain. I don’t really know how to make amends for many of these things, but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn plus advocate for those within the trans community that I've hurt. I also haven't said much on this because I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous. Even this reply will become right-wing hysteria, but yeah, I am sorry. Let me know how I can help."

Earlier, in February 2025, Ashley took to her X handle to reveal that in September 2024, she welcomed a baby, and the father of the newborn was Elon Musk. She mentioned that earlier, she kept it a secret in order to protect their child’s privacy and safety. However, the tabloid media’s recent actions led her to decide to reveal the truth. Her tweet can be read as:

"Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause. I intend to let our child grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask the media to honour our child's privacy and refrain from invasive reporting."
