Did Ed Sheeran Sing A Hindi Song For SRK's 'King'? Singer Drops A Hint, Netizens Say 'Indian Visa..'

Ed Sheeran is a popular British singer who returned to his Mathematics Tour after a brief break in India. However, his connection with India is not close to being over. Nonetheless, his time and bond with the country are not even close to being done, and the musician might have hinted at the same.

Ed Sheeran might have recorded a song for King

It was on June 18, 2025, when a screengrab caught everyone's attention. A user shared a picture of Ed Sheeran's comment on the discussion platform, Reddit, which has good news for Indian fans. In the comment, the singer could be seen explaining that there is a Hindi song for a Bollywood movie Shah Rukh Khan is doing. And since the fans know very well that 'King Khan' has been filming for King, netizens are left intrigued to know if Ed has voiced a song for the film. Additionally, Ed was also spotted with King's director, Sidharth Anand in the behind-the-scenes video of Sapphire, solidifying the speculations. The comment could be read as stating:

"The hindi song was for a Bollywood movie SRK is doing, this is the punjabi version of sapphire with arijit. I'm just doing all languages at this point."

Netizens react to Ed Sheeran's comment

Soon enough, the screengrab started gaining traction on Reddit, with netizens chiming in to share their opinion on Ed Sheeran's possible collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. A user penned, "Ed Sheeran ko iss rate mein, saal khatam hone se pehle Padma Bhushan mil jayega. Bhai is totally in Incredible-India mode in 2025." Another wrote, "Hope the movie turns out good. Ra. One had a song by Akon, and Harry-Sejal had Diplo (composer/singer). The fan title track was in many languages, including one by an Arabic singer." A comment read, "First Akon now Ed. SRK is on a mission to make all Western singers sing in Hindi." A commenter was quoted as saying, "Nobody worked for an Indian Visa this hard before."

However, others were not as excited about the collaboration, but they saw it as a cover-up for Suhana Khan's lack of experience in acting. For the unversed, Suhana made her acting debut with Archies and was heavily criticised for the same. Now, she will be making her theatrical debut alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan, in King. A user penned, "I can sense from a mile away that this film has the potential to be the best among best, but it falls flat on its face for making Suhana the centrepiece as she also falls straight on her face." Another, in a long note, wrote:

"Srk kya kya kar raha hea suhana ke liye. While it shows a Father's love for his daughter, but at the same time it puts a mark on nepotism debate, what has Suhana achieved in her life to get all this ? Like seriously half of the Bollywood is there in her debut film."
