Son of Mollywood’s superstar, Mammootty and his wife, Sulfath, Dulquer Salmaan has already made a name for himself in the south Indian film industry. The renowned actor has followed in the steps of his father, and without taking any help from him, Dulquer has worked in one after the other super-hit films. Moreover, the Malayalam industry’s chocolate boy tied the knot with Amal Sufiya on December 22, 2011, and embraced parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, Maryam Ameerah Salmaan in May 2017.
For the unversed, Dulquer met his ladylove after returning to India after completing his studies and when his family wanted him to get married. His friends were then constantly matching a girl younger than him, and he was also often bumping into Amaal. In an interview with Masala.com, Dulquer Salmaan was asked about the presence of women in his life. To this, he wittily mentioned that since his father, Mammootty had demanding work commitments, he has grown up amidst the ladies in his family. Talking about the same, he also talked about the addition of his wife, Amal Sufiya and daughter, Maryam Ameerah Salmaan into their women-centric household. In his words:
"I've grown up around strong women. Not to take anything away from my father, but he was a very busy man, a busy actor. So I grew up with my mum and my sister. When I met Amaal, my wife, the family grew. I have my daughter now. And in fact, during the lockdown, my 90-year-old grandmother also lived with us. So it's mostly a women centric household. I see all of them juggling so many things, on top of managing things outside of the home. They are the glue that binds all of us."
Further, in the same conversation, Dulquer praised his wife for being his best critic of him and also how Amaal loves to keep things real. Not only that, the doting daddy mentioned his loving daughter, Maryam's honesty and how these things help him maintain the proper standards of his life. Dulquer revealed:
"My wife is the best critique because she has the right opinions on things and keeps it real, she does not sugarcoat things. I can always depend on her for that honesty. And even though my daughter Maryam is just five years older, there's this wonderful honesty about her. She can tell me if she doesn't like what I'm wearing, or if I'm not smelling good, she'll literally be like, 'Papa, what did you eat?'. I think being around them and having their honesty constantly puts me in my place."

Dulquer likes to keep his personal life private, which is why he rarely shares a few glimpses of his family on his social media handles. However, on December 22, 2021, Dulquer completed ten years of togetherness with his wife, Amal. The actor shared a series of love-filled pictures with his ladylove, and alongside it, he penned a beautiful note for her. The actor had written:
"A decade of us. Of setting sail together as twenty somethings. With no direction and just the wind to lead us. Most times riding the waves that come at us. Shooting the breeze together. Holding each other tight during squalls. Finding our zen during dead calms. Creating life. That becoming our lives. Now we have a compass and an anchor. Together through various ports of call our voyage continues. We are still discovering new lands and there's so much more to see. A decade later our vessel is stronger. The sails stand tall. With our angel safely on crows nest. Port or starboard I know we'll figure it out together. Shipmates forever."
Isn't Dulquer setting some pure family goals?
