'Dude' Movie Star, Pradeep Ranganathan's Fees, How Much Does The Tamil Superstar Charge Per Film?

Pradeep Ranganathan has been giving one hit after another and is well on his way to establish his name as the new generation superstar of Tamil cinema. After the blockbuster film. Love Today, which was remade into Loveyapa in Hindi, and another hit, Dragon, he is back on screen with Dude. Amid this, Pradeep has become one of the most coveted stars of the Tamil film industry. So, here's a look at how much Pradeep Ranganathan charges per film. 

Pradeep Ranganathan's fees for his acting debut in Love Today 

Pradeep Ranganathan marked his debut with the 2022 film, Love Today. However, apart from starring as the male lead, he had also donned the hat of writer and director for the movie. The romantic comedy film with a fresh take on love in the contemporary world became a blockbuster hit. As per an ETimes report, Love Today was made on a budget of Rs. 5 crore. However, it minted over Rs. 100 crore worldwide and cemented Pradeep's career as a successful actor and director. Hence, he was initially paid Rs. 70 lakh for the film, but after its massive success, he received an additional Rs. 80 lakh from the production house. So, for Love Today, Pradeep earned Rs. 1.5 crore.

Pradeep had also turned one of the producers for the Hindi remake of Love Today, which was called Loveyapa. The film starred Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan as the leads and was released in February 2025. However, the film failed to attract an audience to the theatres and was a box office dud, resulting in all the producers incurring a massive loss. 

Pradeep Ranganathan's massive hike in fees since the success of Dragon 

Although Pradeep might have suffered losses with Loveyapa, his next film, Dragon's success, cushioned the blow. Pradeep starred as the titular character in the film, which earned Rs. 150 crore globally and became one of the major Tamil hits of the year. Reportedly, Dragon was made on a budget of Rs. 37 crore. Although his fees for Dragon have not been revealed, the ETimes report suggests that Pradeep now earns Rs. 8-10 crore after back-to-back two super hits. Hence, for his newest offering, Dude, the emerging superstar would have earned something similar to this amount.

The newest Tamil film, Dude, was recently released on October 17, 2025. It stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. Dude promises a medley of action, romance, and comedy and has received mostly positive reviews since it hit the cinemas. The plot of the story revolves around the definition of love across two generations. Pradeep plays the role of a young man named 'Aravind', meanwhile R. Sarath Kumar plays the role of his father. Both these key characters explore love in modern and older-day settings. Just as Love Today, people are loving how the concept of love, marriage, and relationships has been portrayed in the movie.
