Dove Cameron Is Engaged! Take A Look Inside Her Relationship Timeline With Fiance, Damiano David

Dove Cameron and Måneskin vocalist, Damiano David, are officially engaged after two years of dating! The couple first made headlines in 2023 and, since then, have been going strong, supporting each other on red carpets, enjoying each other's company, and, apparently, now a big rock is in the mix. Dove and Damiano have made several public appearances in the past few months. While Dove tends to value her privacy, these glimpses have been a treat for the fans.

Dove Cameron kept her relationship with Damiano David on the down low, especially following her breakup with Gossip Girl's Thomas Doherty in 2020. She even told Entertainment Tonight in 2021 that, looking back on her relationship, she wishes she had done things differently. However, at that age, she felt like it was the natural thing to do. So, as Dove enters the next chapter of her life, let's take a look at her journey with Damiano David so far.

Fans noticed that Dove Cameron attended a Måneskin concert at Madison Square Garden in September 2023. The pictures and videos of the same were shared by fan pages. However, there was no dating spark between Damiano David and Dove at the time.

However, it was months later, in November 2023, that rumours began circulating about Dove Cameron and Damiano David being on dates. They were also spotted at Espaco Unimed in São Paulo, Brazil, following a Måneskin concert. However, it was the picture of Damiano and Dove sharing a love-filled kiss on the beach in Australia that finally confirmed the speculations.

Ever since that beach incident, Dove Cameron and Damiano David have been spotted together several times. In January 2024, they were seen enjoying a casual dinner with friends in West Hollywood. A month later, Label exec David Massey shared a picture of Dove and Damiano and called them a "power couple". The occasional spotting and David Massey's comment had already given fans enough to confirm that the two were dating. 

However, it was their appearance on the red carpet at Clive Davis's pre-Grammy gala that solidified the news. A few weeks after going red carpet official, Damiano David and Dove Cameron took things one step further and went courtside official at a Lakers game. The couple was also seen arm in arm at the Met Gala 2024, looking absolutely ravishing, which proved just how serious the two were.

It was when Dove Cameron appeared on the cover of Cosmo that she spilled the details on her relationship with Damiano David. The gorgeous actress and singer shared that they first crossed paths in 2022, when she and Måneskin were both nominated for Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards. Dove revealed that she and Damiano didn't even talk at the award show. However, a few months later, she was invited to their album release party, which she unfortunately couldn't make. 

The singer even revealed that they had a collaboration in the works at one point and that she nearly opened for them on tour. However, destiny didn't allow them to meet yet. However, when they met again at the 2023 VMAs, they had a reason to talk, and that's when Damiano invited her to attend Måneskin's Madison Square Garden show. She was quoted as saying:

"He was like, 'We're starting our world tour at Madison Square Garden. If you're still in town in a few days, we'd love it if you came.' It was super innocent. And then they invited me back to their greenroom and then we started talking and then he asked me to the after-party. And then very quickly it became, 'Let's have dinner at 8:00 at this spot.' He's a Capricorn, so he was very much like, 'Okay, these are my intentions.' It was super honorable."

In the same conversation with Cosmo, Dove also shared the details of their first date. She shared that Damiano David was like a 1950s gentleman, angel, teddy bear, and "the best person I've ever met." The singer, reflecting on their first date, added that it was "very, very slow, cautious, feeling-out, interview-type questions for eight hours" before they made a move on each other. She was quoted as saying:

"I remember I was fascinated because he presents in a way that seems very easily digestible, and then you spend two minutes around him and you realize he is the kindest, most generous, most innocent, most giving person. He's just a beautiful, sensitive soul."

After Dove Cameron's interview, she and Damiano David were spotted on several occasions. They often shared glimpses of their life together on social media, making sure fans felt their love. However, the biggest news of their lives didn't come from them. It was TMZ that broke the news of their engagement, with a picture of Dove rocking a major rock on her finger. The couple walked hand in hand as they strolled through the city, giving fans a good look at her cushion-cut diamond ring.
