Divya Agarwal Wants To Adopt Kid In Future, Says, 'Don't Think I'm Ready For Sacrifice Mothers Make'

Divya Agarwal has never shied away from walking on her own path unapologetically. Being true to herself, fans were able to connect with her personality in Bigg Boss OTT 1 and MTV Splitsvilla 10. Playing fierce characters in shows like Cartel and Tatlubaaz, she hasn't shied away from breaking stereotypes with her on-screen roles and off-screen choices. As Divya is set to make her comeback after marriage, she was asked about her plans to embrace motherhood in future, and her honest thoughts might put the frequent rumours about her pregnancy to rest.

Divya Agarwal reveals she might adopt a kid in future 

Divya Agarwal sat down for an interview with The Times of India ahead of her return with Badass Begum. She opened up about how her life has changed since marrying restaurateur, Apurva Padgaonkar and why she isn't in a rush to start her family conventionally. Her family, unlike many others, have been different; they never put pressure on her, and the expectations are only being placed by internet users, but she has learnt to overlook it. Talking about her plans for motherhood, Divya mentioned that she plans to become a mother, but not in a typical way, as she might adopt a child after a few years. In her words:

"Right now, I want to focus on my work. Maybe 5 or 10 years down the line, I might adopt a child and give them a good life."

Divya acknowledged that being a mother is a dream for many mothers, and she has complete respect for it. But, in her case, she won't be able to make the sacrifices that mothers do. However, for her, this decision won't make her any less of a woman. At the same time, her nurturing side is still very much present, and that reflects in her care for her family and team. Rather than rushing into being a mother, she would want to wait until she feels truly ready to share that love with a child who needs it. Sharing her honest thoughts, the Bigg Boss OTT 1 winner said:

"I don't think I'm ready for the level of sacrifice that our mothers made. I admire them for it. If the time comes and I feel it in my heart, I'd be more than happy to share that love with someone who truly needs it by adopting a kid."

Divya Agarwal opens up about why she took a break after her marriage 

Divya Agarwal tied the knot with Apurva in 2024 and took a year-long break from her work. Talking about that decision, she shared that she has been working for the last 17 years without a break, even when she lost her father. Since she always kept moving forward, the actress felt that taking a break was significant for her to reconnect with herself. Just like her thoughts, she felt calm after a long time during the break and understood how to be patient, and spent a good time with her family, which had a positive impact on her. Divya was quoted as saying:

"It changed me, I've become more grounded, more confident, and more at peace with myself. Looking back, I feel it was the right thing to do. Sometimes, we all need to pause, breathe, and take a step back from the hustle. I truly believe everyone should take a break at some point in their lives."
