Dhanashree Verma REVEALS Parents Urged Her To End Marriage With Yuzvendra, 'Pressure From Society..'

Dhanashree Verma has been through a lot since the start of the year. She faced a lot of trolling, hate remarks and judgment when Yuzvendra Chahal unfollowed her on Instagram and deleted all their pictures together. Later, the buzz of their separation made headlines, followed by a divorce drama and Yuzvendra Chahal calling out Dhanashree by wearing a t-shirt with 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy'. Now, the choreographer revealed her side of the story, and how it was her parents who urged her to end their marriage.

Dhanashree Verma revealed how divorce left her family confused 

Recently, Dhanashree Verma sat for an interview with Humans Of Bombay, wherein she shared her side of the story. Dhanahsree talked about her challenging phase during her divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal. However, her parents initially struggled to cope with everything, but they stood by her and appreciated her for taking the courageous decision. 

Dhanashree revealed parents' struggle with societal pressure

Dhanashree Verma revealed that it was difficult for her parents to cope as her mother would often feel sad, and there were times when they would keep their phones away and avoid picking up any calls. There was a lot of pressure from society on them. And there have been days when she would tell them to stay away from phone. She said:

"There were days when my mother would actually give up and feel sad, and there were times when my parents kept their phones away. It was so overwhelming and not required because already parents feel so much pressure from society. And then when they have to deal with something like this, how do they fix that? There were days I had to strictly tell them Don’t use your phones, stop answering calls."

Dhanashree credited her parents and close friends for standing by her side and guiding her throughout it. The choreographer revealed that the decision to leave the partnership required a lot of courage, and her parents always reminded her of that. She said:

"My parents kept reminding me that this is not who you are. To even take that decision requires a lot of courage. Knowing that you are with someone who is more powerful than you, to even come to that decision of leaving that partnership requires a lot of courage, and my parents remind me of that every day. They kept telling me how proud they are that I made this decision. It’s not easy."

Dhanashree Verma talked about Yuzvendra Chahal's T-shirt drama

When the host questioned her about Yuzvendra Chahal's t-shirt drama, Dhanashree shared that she knew people were going to blame her even before the t-shirt stunt happened. She revealed that she had not idea about it as she came out from behind, and when she sat in the car and checked her phone, she found out that he had done such a thing. 

Dhanashree further revealed her thoughts when she found out about Yuzvendra's t-shirt and the words written on it. She was left in shock, having not expected him to pull off such a stunt. 

Further, when the host told her that Chahal shared in an interview that he wanted to send across his message. Dhanashree expressed her thoughts, stating that he could have simply WhatsApped her, but why on a T-shirt? She said:

"Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyu pehna hai? Fir toh ek t-shirt bhi kafi nahi."

Dhanashree Verma further emphasised that instead of making another headline, she has chosen to be mature and not make an immature statement that can appeal to the public. She neither wants to disrupt her family values nor his family values.
