David Beckham and Victoria Beckham’s elder son, Brooklyn Beckham, has recently renewed his wedding vows with his wife, Nicola Peltz. The couple who first got married in 2022 renewed their wedding vows on August 2, 2025, in Westchester County, New York, in an intimate ceremony. While Nicola looked mesmerising in her mom’s vintage bridal gown, her father officiated the ceremony.

Taking to her social media handle, Nicola posted dreamy pictures from the ceremony and captioned them as “only love.” However, amid the dreamy pictures, what caught everyone’s attention was the Beckam family’s absence from the ceremony. The intimate ceremony was only attended by Nicola’s family, and no one from Brooklyn’s family was present.

There had been reports about a family feud, but the absence of David and Victoria Beckham, along with their children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper from the ceremony, confirmed the family split. Beckham’s family feud began when Victoria Beckham ruined Brooklyn and Nicola’s first dance

There have been reports that Victoria Beckham was never keen about Brooklyn’s relationship with Nicola Peltz. However, things turned ugly on the day of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding when, after the ceremony, Victoria hijacked the couple’s special moment. It so happened that Nicola and Brooklyn were thrilled for their first dance after their wedding ceremony, and it was Marc Anthony, who offered to perform for the couple.

However, as the song began, he invited Brooklyn, and instead of calling out Nicola’s name, he took Victoria’s name. It was an awkward moment for all the guests present. On the other hand, Nicola felt that the most special moment of her wedding was ruined by her mother-in-law, Victoria. To make matters worse, Victoria went onto the stage and started dancing with Brooklyn, which left Nicola in tears. A source close to the family revealed:

“It wasn't appropriate. Nicola ran from the room crying. Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why." 

Brooklyn demanded a separate space for him and his wife, Nicola

As per a report by Entertainment Tonight, a close source revealed that ever since Brooklyn sought to carve out his own space away from his parents, problems started cropping up in the Beckham home. Brooklyn’s demand didn’t sit well with his parents, David and Victoria, who believed Nicola was the mastermind behind it.

The source further revealed that David and Victoria believed that ‘Nicola’ was very controlling. The power couple also believed that Nicola was trying to bridge a gap between Brooklyn and his family. However, another source defended Nicola and stated:

“Nicola can be overly protective of Brooklyn and gets a bad rap because of it. She is very loving and doesn’t like how David and Victoria speak to him sometimes.”

Nicola's family feel Beckham’s are too ‘tight’ with money

Brooklyn Beckham stepped away from the shadows of his parents by reputedly spending 11 million pounds on a mansion in Los Angeles. Reports further claimed that Nicola Peltz is actually the majority owner of the house. For the unversed, Nicola’s father is a billionaire with a net worth of 1.6 billion USD, which is more than double the combined net worth of David and Victoria.

A source close to both families revealed to The Sun that the Beckhams are working class and raised their children without spoiling them, teaching them the value of money. Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, on the other hand, wants his daughter to have a comfortable life. As per the source:

“Nelson Peltz, on the other hand, is a billionaire investor and he and his wife Claudia regard Nicola, their little girl, as the apple of their eye. Understandably, they want to indulge her and ensure she never struggles. They expected the ­Beckhams, worth half a billion ­themselves, might match them penny for penny. Or, at least, chip in with financials as and when.”

Brooklyn Beckham missed a series of family events

Brooklyn and Nicola have missed various events of the Beckam family. For Victoria’s 50th birthday on April 20, 2024, many celebrity guests were present. However, Nicola’s absence raised many eyebrows. She was reportedly spending time with her grandmother, who died less than a month later. Later, when David Beckham turned 50 on May 2, 2025, both Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from the celebrations in London.

Brooklyn blocked his brothers on social media

As per multiple reports, it has been speculated that Brooklyn has requested ‘no contact’ with his family. Not just this, he has also unfollowed his two brothers, Cruz and Romeo, on Instagram, confirming the feud. A source revealed that Brooklyn has “blocked” his brothers on social media. David, on the other hand, made various attempts to reconcile with Brooklyn.
