It is not usual for some superstars in the film industry to have conflicts with each other. Ego clashes often make headlines in the entertainment industry and buzz about their rivalry often interests the fans.
We have witnessed many such war of words in the media which add's flavour to Bollywood's biggest rivalries and one of them is that of Salman Khan and Danny Denzongpa. The two stalwarts of Bollywood were once involved in a cold war. It all began during the filming of 1991 film, Sanam Bewafa and concluded during the shoot of Jai Ho in 2014.
It has been said that Danny was a man of discipline, and during the filming of Sanam Bewafa, he arrived on the set on time. However, his co-star, Salman, arrived much later than expected, which lead to Danny waiting for hours. By the time Salman arrived, Danny had apparently lost his temper and had scolded Salman in front of everyone. Following this, Danny did not work with Salman for 23 years because he was so disappointed with his lack of discipline. So, the actor turned down scripts that featured Salman. After twenty three years, the actors reunited and shared screen space in Sohail Khan's Jai Ho.
Danny Denzongpa is an Indian actor who has worked occasionally in Tamil, Nepali and Bengali films. He even worked as a playback singer and a film director in his illustrious career. The actor was also awarded the Padma Shri in 2003 for his contribution to the film industry. His first feature film was Zaroorat, released in 1972. Danny's breakthrough performance came in Gulzar's Mere Apne, wherein he played a positive character. In B.R. Chopra's film, Dhundh, he made his acting debut as an adversary. His commercially successful films from the 1970s include Chor Machaye Shor, Kaala Sona, 36 Ghante, Devata, Kalicharan and Fakira.
Following his role in the film, Devata, Danny began to receive more significant and extended roles and played negative parts in high-profile films like Paapi, The Burning Train, Chunoti, Bandish and Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka. Overall, Danny Denzongpa has appeared in 190 films so far.

Salman Khan is an Indian actor, producer and television personality who primarily works in Hindi films. Khan has won multiple awards during his three-decade-long career in Bollywood, including two National Film Awards for producing and two Filmfare Awards for acting. In 1988, Salman Khan made his acting debut with the supporting role in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi. A year later, he had his breakthrough with the romantic drama, Maine Pyar Kiya. In the 1990s, Salman made his name with several box office hits, such as Karan Arjun, Biwi No.1, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Hum Saath Saath Hain. Danny's last film, Uunchai, was a remarkable success and secured two prestigious National Awards in 2024. Salman is expected to be seen in films such as The Bull and Kick 2 by 2025. Megastar Salman was once spotted sharing a heartfelt moment with Danny's son, Rinzing. The duo's picture went viral on social media, where Salman was seen kissing on his cheeks, showcasing love and warmth towards Rinzing.
Tshering Phintso Denzongpa was born in Yukson, Sikkim, into a Nepali speaking Bhutiya family on February 25, 1948. Danny got married to a Sikkimese princess, Gawa in 1990. Together, they are blessed with two children, Rinzing and Pema. Currently, he resides in Juhu, Mumbai.
