Dalljiet Kaur Reveals Snubbing At People Who Disrespected Her Ex-Husband, Shalin Bhanot

Popular TV actress, Dalljiet Kaur did not have a smooth marital life. She was first married to actor, Shalin Bhanot, with whom she has a son, Jaydon. They ended the marriage in 2001 after she accused him of domestic violence. Recently, Dalljiet subtly revealed that when she was in love, she couldn't bear anyone talking against Shalin and would snub those who did. For the unversed, Dalljiet, for the second time, married Kenya-based Nikhil Patel in 2023, and within ten months, the marriage ended.

Shalin and Dalljiet together had done Kul Vadhu and then went on to perform in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye. The ex-pair won the same, and the world knew that they were a couple. Little did Dalljiet know that the feeling of love, which is so beautiful, could be murdered by someone whom she considered her world. The actress sat down for an interview with Galatta India and shared how there was a time when someone disrespected her love, and she would not talk to the person. In her words:

"When I fell in love for the first time, it was like just wanting to sit and breathe the same air. I have been in that passionate love kind of person thing. Respect matlab actually ek time aisa aaya tha jab mujhe bataya jata tha kuch cheeze joh mujhe baadmei eventually pata chali. Lekin mei uss ensaan se baat karna chodh deti thi ki how dare you? Apne mere so and so ke abare mei kaise bola?"

Dalljiet Kaur reveals being protective of her love

After Dalljiet and Shalin won the dance reality show, Nach Baliye, the pair got married within a couple of months. Their dates were more about getting to know each other than spending time in each other's company. Dalljiet, going ahead in the interview, shared that she has always been protective of the man she loved. However, now the only thing that matters to her in life is her son, Jaydon and Dalljiet's parents. The actress, speaking on how she evolved in love, shared:

"That fierce and protective about my man. The only love I genuinely feel is for Jaydon. Wohi protectiveness, that love is protected. Even for my son, I don't expect that. I am not expecting ki tu bada hoga kaam karna mei aaram karungi nai. Abh, I am a solo player, I  will enjoy. The love I feel for him is beautiful, feel for my parents. The only pure love I believe in."

When Dalljiet Kaur shared how she coped with the separation from Shalin Bhanot

Dalljiet's only regret in marrying Shalin was that she wished to know him better. She revealed once in an interview with the Screen that post her first marriage ended she was very scared to even think of being in a relationship for like nine years. She took her own time as she was in a denial mode that her marriage had broken. In her words:

"I was in denial for more than 2-3 years that my marriage broke. The divorce word would not go down well with me; I would just break down and keep crying. At that time, Jaydon was an infant; it was not easy at all."
