Daisy Ridley and her husband, Tom Bateman, prefer keeping their lives private and away from the busy cameras and headlines-seeking media. The duo met on the set of their film in 2017, and since then, there has been no looking back. Daisy, whose entire life is out in public, revealed that she wanted one thing in her life that was exclusively hers, and it was one of the major reasons she wanted to keep her relationship with Tom private.

Their love story began while they were filming their first movie together, which was released in 2017. The duo fell in love on the sets of Murder On The Orient Express, whose production started in London in November 2016. At that time, Daisy Ridley gained fame for her debut as 'Rey' in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. On the other hand, Tom Bateman played 'Giuliano De' Medici' in the final season of Da Vinci's Demons.

In 2017, the buzz was rife that Daisy and Tom were dating. In fact, at the London premiere of Murder On The Orient Express, the film's producers, Judy Hofflund, gave a hint about their brewing romance while filming the film. When questioned if any cast members got close on set, the producer said:

"Something kinda happened with Tom and Daisy right? That's public news. I should keep my mouth shut. Oh well."

However, Tom clearly denied talking about his dating life. When he was probed further with the producer's remark, Tom shared that it is one of their tactics to create buzz; otherwise, no one would come and see their movie.

It was in February 2019 when reports about Tom and Daisy's moving in together surfaced. They rented an apartment in London's Primrose Hill. The same year, Daisy was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger, sparking speculations of her engagement. However, when Marie Claire questioned her about her engagement. She called the ring extremely nice. She revealed that she never talked about her personal life and would not talk about it.

In September 2022, Tom Bateman and Daisy Ridley attended a special screening of the Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde. However, after dodging engagement buzz for years, Ridley confirmed her relationship with Bateman by announcing her marriage. In January 2023, while talking to Rolling Stone, she confirmed her marriage but didn't divulge details.

Tom and Daisy met while they were at work, and they continue to support each other. In fact, they love teaming up for projects every now and then. Their last film together was Magpie in 2024. It was a thriller written by Tom and is based on Ridley's original idea. On the premiere of the film, Tom gushed about his wife's acting chops as Daisy was playing the lead.
