American actor, Chris Pratt is well known for his role as 'Star Lord' in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Guardians of the Galaxy. The actor seemed to be a fan of Robert F Kennedy Jr., who is currently the US Health Secretary. However, how are the two extremely different individuals related to one another? Well, Chris is married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, who is the granddaughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Robert Jr.'s sibling.
Chris Pratt recently opened up about spending time with the Republican, Robert F Kennedy. During a conversation with Bill Maher on the Club Random podcast, Chris revealed that he loved Robert Jr. and found him extremely funny. For the unversed, Chris recently appeared in Jurassic Park's latest film and made his comment during his appearance for the post-release promotion.
During the conversation, Chris Pratt revealed that he has spent several occasions hanging out with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during family dinners. He recalled that they got along well and that he thought Robert was a great person. Chris appeared on the podcast on August 18, 2025, and shared that he really liked Robert Jr. He was quoted as saying:
"I've spent a number of occasions hanging with him, just in a strictly family dinner kind of vibe, and I really got along with him well. I think he's great. I think he's funny. I like him. I love him."
Chris Pratt also told Bill Maher that politics is a 'nasty' business. He added that he has seen how people are often told they are one thing, yet they are actually quite different. For the unversed, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had initially planned to contest the 2024 election as an independent candidate, but then dropped the bid and backed Donald Trump. He's often been in the crosshairs for his stance on vaccines. Chris further stated:
"When you jump on the bandwagon with the most divisive president ever, it makes sense that you're going to be made to look terrible. So I don't know what to believe. It's not like I sit with Bobby and go, 'So hey, let's talk about this.' We're just playing cards, playing Mafia, having fun, or having dinner. I'm not going to pick his brain to find out exactly which of those things are true."
In the same conversation, Chris revealed that for the most part, he wishes Robert F Kennedy Jr. nothing but the best. He added that he just talks to him with a clean slate and argued that even critics of the Trump administration should root for its successes, where applicable. He was quoted as saying:

"I'd hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I'd have an allergic reaction to."
Chris Pratt had faced criticism ahead of the 2024 election, as the actor maintained a rather neutral outlook without picking sides. At a time when many Americans felt that the election would signal a pivotal shift in the direction the nation was headed. While his MCU co-stars supported Kamala Harris, Chris's silence was perceived with raised eyebrows. However, despite the Avengers in her corner, Kamal lost the election to Donald Trump.
