[EXCL] Chef Vipul Gupta Reveals 100 Chefs Booked Their Dates A Year Back For Wall Street Wedding

Wall Street, a few days back in May 2025, witnessed one of the grandest Indian weddings of Varun Navani and Amanda Soll. The Indian and Jewish wedding was led by Chef Vipul Gupta and Chef Gaurav and was managed by Round Table Hospitality. The majestic Indian shaadi of Varun and Amanda had a 400-member traditional baraat that halted Wall Street, Manhattan's Financial District. Chef Vipul Gupta and his team had a huge responsibility, catering to the luxurious wedding. In a recent interview with BollywoodShaadis, Chef Vipul revealed how 100 chefs had booked their dates a year before Varun and Amanda's wedding took place, which got Wall Street to ground halt.

Chef Vipul Gupta exclusively revealed how 100 chefs locked their dates a year in advance for the baraat that made Wall Street into a dance floor

It takes a village to make a wedding happen, and when you are in New York City, manpower is the biggest challenge. This is what Chef Vipul Gupta in the exclusive interview with BollywoodShaadis opened up to. Amanda and Varun's Indian wedding was a display of culture and love, and Chef Vipul shared the brief given to him when the traditional baraat of 400 members cascaded down Wall Street with Varun and Amanda.

He revealed that, first of all, the wedding was Indian and Jewish. Varun's family is Indian, and Amanda is American Jewish. They had to offer 50-50 cuisine, French and European. The entire evening was a pure vegetarian event. However, the wedding function was on a Memorial Day weekend, and Chef Vipul shared the shortcomings, which were overcome as the 80 chefs booked themselves a year ahead of the wedding. He shared:

"Due to Memorial Day, getting the quality staff organised is a big challenge, where we planned this a year before. More than 70-80 chefs will be working with us. More than 120 waiters will be working at this event. Everyone had their dates planned for more than a year. Everyone knew they would be working on the weekend for the wedding. It is a busy weekend for America, especially for New York City. People are out partying, celebrating Memorial Day. Everything is packed, busy. We were at Cipriani, New York City, where the whole street was blocked."

Chef Vipul reveals that 80- 100 chefs worked for just one event for a wedding that spanned a week

Wall Street had turned into a dance floor for the wedding of Amanda and Varun. Chef Vipul, further in the interview, revealed that Amanda and Varun's wedding was almost a week long. The main Hindu wedding and reception took place at Cipriani, and the following day, a Jewish wedding took place. This particular day got viral, and Chef Vipul added:

"I am talking of 10-12 cuisines, I am talking of this day. In 7 days, I do not think there was any cuisine we missed. From Colombian, African, any region of India, South Indian to Sri Lankan, Malaysian, and European, everything was offered in one week. I am talking of a particular 80-100 chef working for one of these particular events. The whole week was a magnitude altogether."

Chef Vipul also noted that Amanda and Varun's wedding was not a typical one, happening in a banquet hall or Times Square hotel, where you have spaces that are the food area. The wedding venue did not have a dedicated food area while the ceremony was happening, but it was a show of a lifetime.
