Recently, in a podcast, Talk With Namit, Rajani shared in detail about the immense pain she had been through after her son's death. During the interaction, when Namit questioned a child's importance in a mother's life, she shared that it is the same as a mother's worth in a child's life. She also recalled when her son, Taran, passed away, a lot of people commented that one should not have only one child for this particular reason. She said:

"I don't know troll kiya ya kya kiya but yeh comment the 'isliye ek bacha nahi karna chahiye 2 hone chahiye, kam se kam 3-4 bacche ho'. Mai kaha 20 grieving parents se baat kare toh usme se mere alawa ek ya do hi honge jiska single bacha tha, baki sabke 2-2- bacche the. Apki 2 aankh hai, ek aankh chali jaayegi ap manage kr loge par dard toh wahi hoga na. Toh chahe 2 bacche ho ya 4 bacche ho, uska jo dard hai vo dard hai. Iska i think over the time, mai yeh sun rahi hoon grieving mothers se jinke bache guzare hue saalo ho gaye hai. Ki over the time you learnt to live with it. Toh I don't know I can't say."
