Charu Asopa has put her acting career on hold as she focuses on her new life with her daughter, Ziana, in her hometown in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The actress relocated from Mumbai a few months ago, citing financial difficulties in maintaining rent and balancing the high cost of living. As she settles in her new home, her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen, recently slammed Charu for taking Ziana away from him, claiming that she would ultimately return to Mumbai. In her latest YouTube vlog, Charu has clapped back at Rajeev’s statement and shared that the latter had even offered to pay her rent in Mumbai.
Taking to her YouTube channel, Charu Asopa shared a detailed account of her decision to move to Bikaner and invest in a house of her own. The Bade Acche Lagte Hai actress explained that she wants a good lifestyle for Ziana and a home where she can express herself in whatever way she wants. She also explained that rather than paying for rent in Mumbai, she wants to work hard and fulfil her EMIs to have her own house. She was quoted as saying:
“I want to give Ziana a good lifestyle. I am sure people are living in Mumbai with a lower income. I was working hard there, and I am working hard here. It’s not like my life was difficult there, and it is easier here... I want to fulfil my EMIs and make this house mine. I wanted a home that Ziana can call her own, where she can scribble on walls and just be herself.”
Charu has explained earlier that she couldn't afford her monthly rent and manage the high cost of living in Mumbai. Rajeev wasn't on board with the latter’s decision as it meant fewer opportunities to see his daughter. In her recent vlog, Charu shared that Rajeev had even offered to take care of her rent to keep her in Mumbai, but she didn't want that. The actress shared:
“Rajeev did tell me I won’t be able to live in Bikaner and would come back. He offered that I should live in Mumbai on rent and that he would take care of it. But I didn’t want that. I want my child to grow up in her own house. You need a lot of money to be able to buy a house in Mumbai. Mumbai ke aadhe paiso mein maine yahaan ghar bana liya hai. He doesn’t have to take any guarantees. I will come back to Mumbai when I have enough money to buy a house. I’ll repay my EMIs and loans. I’ve used my brains.”
In his recent statement, Rajeev Sen slammed his ex-wife, Charu, for taking Ziana away from him. He also added that the actress would ultimately return to Mumbai and settle there, but these changes would have a significant impact on their child. In his words:
"The woman will always have a bigger role to play, especially when the child is with her. I have very limited resources. I can only do video calls, or I can go meet her… there was no need for Charu to leave Bombay. Because ghoom phir ke… she will come back to Bombay… she will settle down again here.”
