Brandon Sklenar is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most talked-about names. His rugged screen presence, commitment to his role, be it physical or emotional, and raw performances have earned him fan-favourite status among the audience. While he briefly found himself being swept up in some headlines because of drama involving It Ends With Us co-stars, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, Brandon has kept his focus firmly on his work. Most recently, he has been making headlines again, this time not for any controversy, but for a jaw-dropping gym photo that has reignited rumours that he could be the next actor to don the iconic 'Batman' cape and cowl.
The photo that has all the fans buzzing was shared by Brandon's longtime friend and celebrity trainer, Wesley Wilson. In his most recent Instagram post, Wesley gave followers a sneak peek of one of Sklenar's training sessions. The cryptic caption suggested Brandon is training for his next big role, and it had fans spiralling into speculation mode almost immediately. Wesley wrote:
"Training one of my best friends for his biggest role yet has been a f—ing blast."
The comment section of Wesley's post had fans screaming and crying in speculations. Followers flooded the post with Batman GIFs, pleading with DC Studios to cast Brandon as the 'Dark Knight' already. While nothing has been confirmed, the fan reaction was loud and clear: they want to see Brandon Sklenar take over Gotham. A user commented, "Batman announcement loading," and another one commented, "Well done. I can't see anyone else as Batman.#BruceWayne."
While there has been no official confirmation by the studio, director or the actor, Brandon Sklenar hasn't denied the buzz around the possibility of him being the new 'Batman' either. If anything, he's fueling it with hints and perfectly timed public appearances. In a recent interview, he acknowledged his admiration for past portrayals of Batman by actors such as Robert Pattison and expressed his interest in delivering a darker, more emotionally grounded take on 'Bruce Wayne'. Fans have already accepted him as their 'Batman'; the only thing left now is an official announcement from Warner Bros.
Earlier this year, Brandon Sklenar was briefly caught in the middle of a highly public fallout between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Brandon Sklenar initially showed vocal support to Blake by sharing a New York Times article on his Instagram Story with the message, "For the love of God, read this," tagging Blake Lively with a red heart emoji.

However, as the legal battle escalated, Brandon Sklenar deliberately shifted his stance. He refused to pick sides, stating in interviews that he was "Team It Ends With Us," emphasising the importance of focusing on the film's message of love, resilience, and domestic abuse awareness rather than controversy.
As of now Brandon has pulled himself completely out of the narrative and has shifted his focus on possible new roles. Whether or not Brandon Sklenar is officially cast as 'Batman', one thing is certain he has something big planned for his fans. He is putting in the work, and with fans support, Brandon may just be Gotham's next great hope.
