Bihari Bride Murders Husband 45 Days After The Wedding, Was Having An Affair With Her Maternal Uncle

The rise in marital crime has left the entire country cautious. What was supposed to be the happiest time of a couple's lives has been turning into a nightmare as forced marriages and harassment have taken over the sinful souls of the human race. Amid the growing hate and concern, another shocking case has come forward in Bihar and has surfaced online.

Newlywed bride from Bihar murders her husband with the help of her lover

In a shocking turn of events, a bride from Aurangabad, Bihar, named Gunja Singh, has been arrested for allegedly planning the murder of her husband, Priyanshu Kumar Singh. The couple had been married for only 45 days when the horrifying incident ended the latter's life. The murder took place on the night of June 24, 2025, near Nabinagar railway station. However, what was more shocking was the fact that Gunja killed her husband, Priyanshu, so that she could continue her illicit relationship with her maternal uncle, Jeevan Singh.

Along with Gunja, the police have also arrested two accomplices, Jaishankar Chaubey and Mukesh Sharma. However, her maternal uncle, Jeevan Singh, remains on the run. The authorities are relying on call detail records, CCTV footage and confessions to piece together what actually happened on the eve of June 24, 2025. Superintendent of Police, Ambarish Rahul, revealed that Gunja had been in a secret relationship with her uncle, Jeevan Singh, for over 15 years, long before her marriage to Priyanshu. However, despite her objections and reluctance, family pressure compelled Gunja to marry Priyanshu in May 2025.

However, the marriage quickly became sour as Gunja allegedly saw her husband, Priyanshu, as an obstacle between her and Jeevan. Wanting to get out of the marriage, she planned the horrifying murder of Priyanshu. On June 2024, Priyanshu, who was returning from Varanasi, informed Gunja of his whereabouts via phone. Seizing the opportunity, Gunja passed this information to the hired killers who ambushed him and shot him dead.

Gunja Singh's family allegedly knew about the illicit affair

According to several reports, Gunja Singh's close family knew about the illicit affair between their daughter and her maternal uncle, Jeevan Singh. However, they had kept the remaining relatives and Priyanshu and his family in the dark about the affair. The forced marriage to Priyanshu was seen as an attempt by the family to restore normalcy, but it only intensified the tensions. While they were oblivious to the tragic consequences of the unresolved personal conflict, Priyanshu unfortunately had to pay the price of the forced marriage with his life.
