'Bigg Boss 19' Contestant, Tanya Mittal On Being Slammed For Pahalgam Attack Comment, 'My Truth..'

Tanya Mittal, at the moment is being seen in Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 19. The spiritual influencer and entrepreneur caused controversy in 2025 when she made a controversial remark on the horrific Pahalgam attack. However, Tanya is now unfazed by the criticisms she received. For the unversed, when the te**orism attack took place, Tanya said that 'te**orism has no religion' in a clip, and later she deleted it from social media. The comment she made got her a lot of slamming.

After Tanya passed the controversial comment on ''te**orism having no religion'' it got immense backlash. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department had also issued a clarification, revealing that Tanya was never the brand ambassador. Before Tanya entered Bigg Boss 19 house, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, she shared about being unfazed by the controversy. In her words:

"When the controversy happened, just 48 hours after that, I was travelling and making videos. It really didn’t affect me. I know my truth. Agar achhai ko apni achhai sabit karne nikalna padta hai, uss din burayi jeet jaati hai. You be a good person and be sure that 'I am a good person' and leave the place where people don’t respect your goodness."

Tanya Mittal opens up on being called a misfit

Tanya further in the interview shared that someone had also labelled her as a misfit. She shared that her critics were only trying to prove a point, as when times were tough, no one stood next to one another. She also shared of being happy as people were now involved in the matter of other states. The controversy surrounding Tanya started when she posted a clip and discussed the attack that happened on the tourists at the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, where 26 people lost their lives. In the clip she shared:

"Saying anything on this issue is critical and sensitive for me. In the media, there is talk of terrorists and terrorism. I, on the other hand, think terrorism has no religion." 

Tanya was slammed brutally for her comments, which were received with a lot of flak on social media. She was also accused of creating content for the tourist department of Madhya Pradesh and then the MP Tourism department had to clarify that she was not at all associated with the MP Tourism like in any capacity. Well, Mittal kept a stoic silence for a while on the backlash and made her presence felt on the sets of Salman Khan-hosted controversial show, Bigg Boss 19.
