'Bigg Boss 19': Salman Khan Reveals Not Understanding 'Gharwalo Ki Sarkar' Theme, 'Samaj Nai Aaya'

Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 19 which premiered at 9 p.m. on Jio Hotstar. Season 19 of the show took its first digital approach, where every episode premiering on the OTT platform will air for 90 minutes. Salman has been hosting the season for the 17th year now, and reportedly, the 105-day season will have around 17-18 contestants. The theme of the show, this year (2025) is Gharwalon Ki Sarkar and Salman recently in a media statement shared that he does not understand the meaning of the same.

Before Bigg Boss 19 premiered, Salman had earlier attended a press event related to the controversial reality show. He was asked by the media related to the interesting theme of the show and revealed that he does not understand the same. The contestants are set to run the show, will have unique powers. The audience will also have a role in changing the narrative of the game. Salman, addressing the theme of Bigg Boss 19, was confused and said:

"Honestly meko samajmei aaya nai. Alag concept hai season alag hoga toh karte karte mujhe bhi samaj meui aaega jaise ki darshako ko samaj mei aaega."

Bigg Boss 19 is set to give fans a lot of unexpected drama under the theme of Gharwalon Ki Sarkar. Well, for all the Bigg Boss lovers, the wait is now over as season 19 is back on Indian Television. Salman did sound confused with the theme of Gharwalon Ki Sarkar, and everything is mysterious as things are slowly and steadily unfolding in the show. For the first time, the show is adopting an OTT-first approach in 2025, where users will initially access it on JioHotstar, followed by a delayed telecast on Colours TV.

Bigg Boss 19 maker speaks on the theme of the show

Salman has already introduced the set of contestants to the show, where the grand streaming will first happen on the OTT platform and then on Colours TV at 10:30 pm. When Rishi Negi, the COO of Endemol Shine, who is responsible for creating Bigg Boss 19, revealed in an interview with the Hindustan Times that the theme was made in relation to the criticism and feedback received from the earlier seasons, which did not click with the audiences. He revealed that in 2025, Bigg Boss will return with the traditional style of only creating rules with no interferences in the decisions made by the contestants.

Salman has already set the stage on fire with his wit and charm in the Bigg Boss 19 house. The earlier promos had already shown him doing a dance on the song of Aisa Pehli Baar Hua Hai. Well, with the theme of Gharwalon Ki Sarkar, Bigg Boss in 2025 is taking a step back and will only be in the game occasionally to give a nudge to the participants. Salman, as the host, will be seen speaking to the contestants on a personal as well as a deeper level. The sets of Bigg Boss 19 have been made in a way that 100 cameras will be monitoring the setup.
