The deadly collapse of Air India's Dreamliner has left the entire nation shivering. On June 12, 2025, the aircraft set out from Ahmedabad to reach London. A few minutes into the air, then it struck the BJ Medical hostel. 268 people, including passengers, medical students and residents, lost their lives, and the visuals left people in tears worldwide. It was only one passenger who could survive the same. Moreover, it was Bhumi Chauhan, who escaped the fatal accident just by being 10 minutes late to reach the airport.
Bhumi Chauhan resides in Bharuch, Gujarat, and she was all set to reach London by AI171, the Boeing 787-8. Well, she missed the flight by 10 minutes, and it turned out to be a miracle for her. The plane which took the lives of these many people would also have been a nightmare for Bhumi had she not been 10 minutes late. Talking about the same, Bhumi stated that as she was not allowed to enter after being late, she left the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 1:30 p.m. The Air India flight took off after 8 minutes, and a few minutes later, it crashed in a residential area, claiming 268 lives. Just like everyone else, Bhumi was also shocked to the very core. She further thanked the Almighty and Ganpati Bappa for saving her.
In an interview with ANI, Bhumi Chauhan talked about the horrific incident that took place. She said that she wanted to thank Devi Maa for protecting her. She further revealed how she was denied from checking in for being late, which happened due to the traffic. Her father said that the heavy traffic was the only reason that they were late, and now that this incident happened, they are shocked. Bhumi left her daughter to her mom as she wanted to reach London. Bhumi's mom thanked the almighty as well for returning her daughter safely to her and lamented for the people who lost their lives.
12 cabin crew, along with the other employees and normal passengers, all died due to this tragic plane crash, and the visuals are simply heartbreaking. It was the passenger from 11A, named Vishwash Kumar, who could escape the death after the crash of the plane. Vishwash is an Indian-origin British citizen, and he's currently under medical treatment.
Talking about how he escaped, Vishwash revealed that wherein he was seated in the plane, it allowed him an open space. He mentioned that as soon as it crashed, he got the space to come out. He stated that the other portion of the plane struck the door and wall, making it unescaping for the other passengers, who lost their lives. When the fire broke out, Vishwash's hand was brunt, and PM Narendra Modi, on June 13, 2025, paid a visit to him.
