Bengali actor, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, who was best-known for his blockbuster film, Chirodini Tumi Je Amar has tragically passed away, reportedly at the age of 43. If a report by Zee News is believed to be true, then Bengali actor, Rahul Arunoday was shooting for his upcoming serial, Bhole Baba Par Karega, when he tragically passed away. Reportedly, he died due to drowning in Talsari, Digha. After the incident he was rushed to Digha Hospital; however, he couldn’t be saved. The heartbreaking news was reported a while ago, on March 29, 2026. It is worth mentioning that as of now, none of his family members have come forward and confirmed his demise.

As soon as the news of Rahul Arunoday Banerjee’s demise went viral on social media platforms, fans started expressing their shock at it. While some were heartbroken by his tragic demise, others offered love and strength to his family and close ones. One user commented, "What? O God may this news be false. Unbelievable." Another user penned, "Unexpected." A third user wrote, "No please no. Rahul Banerjee was such an admirable personality, what an actor, and more than that what ideologies and intelligence he had.. if this is true it's just too painful."

Recently, Rahul Arunoday's co-star, Bhaskar Bandyopadhyay opened up about former's tragic death and confirmed that he died due to drowning. Further, he revealed that the unfortunate incident happened after the pack up of their serial. Along with Bhaskar, actor, Diganta Bagchi also explained that Rahul jumped into the water after the shoot. Bhaskar was quoted as saying:
"He drowned in the water. It is a tragic incident. The incident happened after the pack up. However, it is still not clear exactly how it happened. It is heard that he was under the water for some time. After a long time, when he did not return, he was brought back."

Coming to his acting journey, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was a celebrated and respected Bengali actor. If reports are to be believed, Rahul first performed a play with a theatre group when he was only three years old. Later, after working in multiple theatre plays, he shifted to television. His breakthrough came with the show, Khela.

Apart from this, he has also appeared in TV serials like Tumi Asbe Bole, Desher Maati and more. On the other hand, Priyanka has attended a book launch of the actor.
