Babil Khan is one of the most talented actors of his generation. He is the son of the late Irrfan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar. The actor made his Bollywood debut with the blockbuster film, Qala which made him an overnight sensation in the world of cinema. Later, he was seen in the film, The Umesh Chronicles and a web series, The Railway Men. Moreover, slowly and steadily, Babil is making a name for himself in the film industry but the void of losing his father will always remain with him. For the unversed, Irrfan left for the heavenly abode on April 29, 2020, leaving behind his wife and their son.
Recently, Babil Khan attended the prestigious IIFA Awards 2023 and he even won the award of 'Best Debut Male' for his film, Qala. During the media interaction, on being asked by a reporter about the fondest memory he has of his late father, Irrfan Khan. Answering to this, the actor mentioned that his baba was his only friend and his missed laughing with him. Elaborating more about it, Bbail said:
"You know when I was growing up, I didn't have any friends, he was my singular friend. So, I think laughing with him is the fondest memory."

Further, in the same conversation, a reporter asked how much he misses his father whenever he wins an award. To this, Babil stated that he misses his father every day, and it clearly shows his bond with his late father. The star kid also shared how he celebrates his achievements. Talking about the same, Babil shared that he does not have any secret celebration whenever he wins an award but he just places the trophy in front of his baba, Irrfan Khan's 50 other awards.
Babil was accompanied by his mother, Stupa, at the award show. For the event, Babil looked dapper in a black-coloured embellished jacket. He teamed it with a white shirt, a black tie and statement pants with an overlay skirt. On the other hand, his mommy looked beautiful In an olive green-coloured draped skirt which she styled with a matching top and blazer.

Earlier, when Babil had performed at the Spoken Fest 2022, the actor paid a heartfelt tribute to his late father, Irrfan Khan on his 56th birth anniversary. Calling Irrfan his best friend, the actor shared the greatest lesson that his baba taught him. He even shared an interesting story from his childhood that left the audience present at the fest in tears. Talking about the same, Babil revealed how his father helped him meet God.

On January 7, 2022, Babil had taken to his IG handle and posted some unseen pictures of his baba, Irrfan Khan from his album. In the pictures, we could see Irrfan spending time with his son. From taking pictures of Babil on a beach to sleeping on the floor with him, Irrfan’s never seen avatar made his fans emotional. Along with the priceless memories, Babil even penned an emotional note which could be read as:
"Questions keep me up at night. Those that I never asked then, those that I can never ask now. My inquiries are left for me to quench on my own, that’s okay, I will figure it out. I miss your laughter though, I don’t think there is an answer for that. Remembering a day when you arrived here."
