The actress is leading the headlines as she recently announced her engagement with her boyfriend, Milind Chandwani. In 2016, Avika Gor made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival at the age of 19 to promote her first short film, which she produced herself. Despite being the youngest Indian to grace Cannes, Avika did not get any support from leading fashion designers as they didn’t want to dress a TV actress. In an interview with a leading publication, Avika spoke about the same and said:
“When I was going to the Cannes Film Festival, I was the youngest Indian to be there, it was my second time there, it was a huge deal. But for some reason, the designers didn’t see it that way. However, I figured something prettier than what they were offering. So I was happy. Then I wore a gown by a local designer, which worked.”
Avika entered showbiz at a young age and faced many good and bad experiences in her career. The actress was once sexually harassed by a security guard. Yes, you read that right. In an interview with Hauterrfly, Avika recalled the unpleasant experience of her life and revealed she was touched from behind during an event.
However, when the same was repeated to her, she stopped it. The actress felt disgusted, knowing that it was a security guard who did it. Speaking about the same, Avika shared:
“I remember when I was going on stage, someone tried to touch me from behind. As soon as I turned back, I remembered that I had only seen the security guard and no one else. I remember that it was going to happen for the second time and I stopped it. It is shameful… I just looked at him and was like, 'What?' and he just apologised. So what do I do after that? So I just let it go. They don't know what effect his act is having on the other person.”
For the unversed, before dating Milind Chandwani, Avika was rumoured to be in a relationship with Manish Raisinghani, her co-star in Sasural Simar Ka.
