Athiya Shetty Follows Anushka Sharma's Footsteps, Asks Media To Refrain From Clicking Baby's Photos

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their first child on March 24, 2025. After which, Athiya's father and actor, Suniel Shetty, revealed that she is not going to be part of Bollywood anymore. Now, Athiya urged the media not to click her daughter's photos as she is growing up and will be stepping out into the world.

Recently, Athiya sent special gifts to the media on the birth of her daughter. Along with it, she thanked the media for respecting and supporting them as she entered a new chapter of her life — motherhood. She thanked them for protecting the privacy of her daughter. She added that her daughter is soon going to step into the world as she is growing up and urged the media not to click her photos and videos. She also requested not to circulate the pictures.

Athiya's decision to keep her daughter away from media glare surfaced after Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani requested the media not to click pictures of their baby girl, and give their family privacy to enjoy the birth of their princess. It is worth adding that earlier, it was Anushka Sharma, who kept urging the media to refrain from clicking the photos of her children.  

When Suniel Shetty talked about staying fit for his granddaughter

On World Health Day, Suniel Shetty talked about the importance of good health. In an interview with ETimes, he shared that he takes care of his fitness to make sure that he can play with his granddaughter and not tire out. He added that he focuses on training his abs and doesn't haunch or drag his feet. He said:

"A lot of kids are doing anabolic steroids and that’s an absolute no, because over a period it will tell you. I’m 60 plus and the only reason I train my abs is to make sure that I walk straight, I don’t hunch, and I don’t drag my feet. Tomorrow I’ll be able to play with my grandchild without having to take a break every two seconds, because the child’s energy is going to be different.

Suniel further stated that he works out daily, and it is blissful. He stated that he is now looking forward to coming back home and spending time with his wife, Mana, and his granddaughter. He said:

"When you train regularly, the dopamine and the adrenaline that you get after a workout is bliss. There are certain things that you have to be excited and continue to look forward to. I look forward to coming back home and spending time with Mana. My biggest excitement in my life, right now, is that child."

For the unversed, on March 24, 2025, Athiya delivered a baby girl. Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a collaborative post with her husband, KL Rahul. The post had a beautiful illustration of two swans in a pond. Below it was written:

"Blessed with a baby girl, 24-3-2025, Athiya and Rahul."
