A namesake of Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, has surfaced online. It was in the late hours of July 18, 2025 (IST) when an account on LinkedIn shared the post addressing the allegations. The post made by the account named Andy Byron stated that it is not him as he wouldn't be 'caught dead at a Coldplay concert'. Andy Byron also changed his bio on his LinkedIn handle to 'NOT THE GUY FROM THE COLDPLAY GIG!!' He further took a humorous jab at what was going on and revealed that he makes videos for the big screen. He was quoted as saying:

"No, this isn't me. I wouldn't be caught dead at a Coldplay concert… I'm Andy Byron, the one who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them. If you want to make video content that goes viral for the right reasons, let's connect."

The Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and the couple resides in New York. However, neither Andy nor Kristin appears to have addressed the allegations of the affair yet. Amid that, another statement has surfaced online, apologising for the row. Nonetheless, it was also deemed fake. A part of the note could be read as:

"This is not who I want to be or how I want to represent the company I helped build. I'm taking the time to reflect, take accountability, and figure out the next steps, both personally and professionally. I ask for privacy as I navigate that process."

What happened at the Coldplay concert?

This statement from the account was made after the incident at the Coldplay concert on July 16, 2025. The show was held in Boston, and several clips from it went viral. Among those videos were two people who were unintentionally called out by the band's frontman, Chris Martin. The musician called out a man and woman who were seen on the 'Kiss Cam', embracing each other.

However, as soon as the camera focused on them, they quickly moved away and hid their faces. The duo was later identified as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. Nonetheless, it was Chris Martin's statement which further fueled the speculations, as he stated that the couple was either having an affair or was too shy. Soon after, Andy and Kristin started receiving flak on social media for alleged 'cheating' and 'affair'. Chris Martin was quoted as saying:

"Oh, look at these two... either they're having an affair or they're very shy."
