The Rebel Kid, Apoorva Mukhija Expresses Shock As Airline Staff Judged Her And Called Her 'Disabled'

The Rebel Kid, Apoorva Mukhija has been hitting the headlines with her presence in the show, The Traitors. Her tiff with Uorfi Javed already grabbed a whole lot of attention, and her fans have been lauding her strong, feminine aura. It was a few months ago when Apoorva's appearance on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent, became a full-blown controversy, and the reason was that she made some comments on female body parts. 

Well, she clarified her part and revealed how she dealt with threats on social media. Now, Apoorva took to her social media handle and revealed a shocking incident, as she was denied an emergency seat due to a staff member's judgment.

Apoorva Mukhija reveals how she was denied an emergency seat due to a judgment on her appearance 

Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Apoorva Mukhija dropped a story, which featured her in an airport. The content creator looked a bit tired in the photo, while the revelation she made instantly got picked up. Apoorva stated that she was running on zero sleep and was travelling, which led her to request an emergency seat from the airline staff. She stated how she was denied the same, and when she asked about the reason, the staff member mentioned that they don't provide seats to the disabled or sick people. Apoorva remained shocked by this judgmental comment, so she mentioned that she was not at all disabled, and the staff member replied that the content creator looked sick. Apoorva wrote:

"I am catching a flight on zero sleep (no surprises there), but I asked for an emergency seat, and the woman at the counter said we can't give it to disabled bodies???? I was like, WTF??? I am fully able (at least physically), and she was like, You are sick."

Apoorva Mukhija further revealed that she asked the staff member about where she got the information about her being disabled, and the latter replied that it could be perceived by her appearance. Apoorva straightaway mentioned that she was offended by this conversation, to which, the staff member mentioned that she was offended too. Apoorva penned:

"I was like, Kisne bola aapko? And she said, Aapki shakal dekh ke lag raha hai, and when I was offended by this conversation, she was surprised??? And she also got offended???? LIKE???"

Apoorva Mukhija received death, rape and acid threats for her comments on India's Got Latent

Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, along with others, appeared on India's Got Latent. It was Ranveer, whose moments of joke turned out to be a controversy, as it included parents. Several FIRs were lodged against the show, including Ranveer, Samay, Apoorva, and the other judges. Apoorva was lodged under FIR as she made a comment on a female body part after one of the contestants made a derogatory remark on her.

Well, not only did she face backlash, but also she had to receive death, acid and rape threats. She suddenly disappeared from social media and then made a comeback with screenshots of the treatment she got on social media. She also dropped a vlog, wherein she detailed the hurdle she had to face. Appearing on Mashable India's The Bombay Journey, Apoorva said that she was asked to leave her apartment that she bought in 2024, because people complained that it was a bad influence, as police used to come and go in the building. Apoorva said:

"Building walon ne complain kar di ki, 'Building mein police aa rahi hai, kitni galat baat hai. Isiliye hum bachelors ko rehne nahi dete, isiliye akeli ladkiyon ko rehne nahi dete.' Fir mujhe bola gaya ki aap jao. Sirf ek saal hi rahi thi uss ghar mein."
