Now, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Apara Mehta shared the details about her co-star, Smriti Irani being called to shoot on the sets, hours after her miscarriage. She revealed that Smriti was shooting at the time of the birth of both her children, Zohr Irani and Zoish Irani. Talking about the same, Mehta added:

Apara mentioned that the case is not just with Smriti, but every actor has to go through the same challenges. She further revealed that whenever any actor was unwell, the team would come to their place, put makeup on them, and shoot the scene then and there. Reflecting on Smriti working after her miscarriage, Apara revealed that her character was already dead on the show then. In her words:
“Whenever any of us fell sick or anything, they came to our places, put on a little bit of makeup, put a wall at the back, and we have shot. I know Smriti spoke about the miscarriage. By the time this happened, my character was already dead on the show, but I know it for a fact ki use aana bhi pada hoga and karna bhi pada hoga.”
Apara claimed that working in the TV industry requires commitment and hard work, but a single person cannot be blamed for this. Sharing details about the process of making a daily soap, the veteran actress stated that if something doesn't work out after the scripts and story tracks are decided, the sequence has to be changed. She added:
“There is a requirement of commitment in this industry, but you have gone through something personal also, so it is a difficult life to be in TV. The whole chain goes up in such a manner, that you can’t blame one person - the actor, production house, or the makers, because it is a very long chain and a vicious circle. The scripts and story tracks have to be decided, and if something does not work then it has to be changed, so you have to churn out and send the telecast copy.”

Apara Mehta also revealed that the actors were not given any leverage because there was no bank of episodes ready for telecast back then. Adding that the episodes have to be telecasted at any cost, the veteran actress shared that all of them have worked on the sets despite going through different ups and downs in their lives. She concluded:
“TV requires a lot of dedication from actors, beyond everything, and that is how it works. No show had a bank during that time. It is slightly better these days, as there is sometimes a bank of 2-3 episodes. The telecast has to go, come what may. We have all gone through different ups and downs in our lives, yet we have shot and the telecast copy has gone.”
