Aniruddh Dave had shared the news of testing positive for COVID-19 on April 23, 2021, however, gradually his condition got critical and he was fighting for his life in the ICU. His wife, Shubhi Ahuja had to leave their then-two-month-old son, Anishq at home to be with Aniruddh. Everyone across the nation had prayed for his well-being and it was on June 25, 2021, that Aniruddh had finally won his battle against the vicious virus.

To announce the news of his recovery, Aniruddh Dave had shared a picture with the staff of Chirayu Hospital on his Twitter handle as he was leaving from there all healthy. He had tweeted, “Such emotional moment after 55 days iam discharged from chirayu hospital.. feeling loved. sabka shukriya..oxygen nahin.. ab khudki saans le raha hoon. zindagi aa raha hoon main... #gratitude.”
As soon as Aniruddh was discharged from the hospital, he had visited his in-laws’ home in Kota, where his wife, Shubhi, son, Anishq and her parents had waited for him. In a conversation with The Times Of India, Aniruddh talked about the grand welcome he got at his home. He said, “It felt like coming home after winning a death-defying war. My parents, wife and in-laws were happy and relieved to see me back home.”
Aniruddh further shared about finally meeting his son, Anishq after so long and how happy his family was! He added, “Finally, I could see the apple of my eye, my little Anishq, after two months, whom I missed the most. Shopu (he fondly calls his wife Shopu) baked a cake for me and my homecoming was celebrated with fanfare. I could see the happiness on everyone’s face.”

Recalling his ordeal and how his health had deteriorated due to post-COVID complications, Aniruddh shared, “The last two months have taught me that life is a battlefield and we have to endure it to survive. It also taught me that miracles do happen and we must believe in them. You just need people around you to pray for your well-being.”

Aniruddh further shared that his condition was worse than he had imagined. He added, “When I was admitted to the hospital, my condition was very critical. Doctors were on their toes and trying to save me in every possible manner. But after a few days, sensing the situation, they asked for my permission to inform my family. I could figure out that the situation was way more critical than I had imagined.”
He also shared that it was his son, Anishq, who became his biggest strength. He shared, “When Shubhi came to see me, we could not talk. I was on oxygen support, but I could see the pain in her eyes and feel what she was going through. She gave me a smiley ball that had ‘My papa is my superhero’ written on it. My four-month-old kid Anishq was my biggest strength to bounce back.”
