Aneet Padda has been receiving a lot of love after her mesmerising performance in her debut film, Saiyaara. Lately, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda have been making a lot of headlines for their recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. In the same interview, Aneet opened up about her grandfather, who is suffering from Alzheimer and is unable to recognise her as well.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, alongside her first co-star, Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda opened up about the emotional struggles of seeing her grandfather, who is actually suffering from Alzheimer. In the interview, Aneet mentioned that because of her grandfather, the film, Saiyaara, was extremely special and emotional for her. She said:
"My dadu has Alzheimer’s, which is why the film was even more emotional for me. He’s at a point now where he doesn’t remember most things, but I believed in this story because it says, ‘Dimaag bhool jaata hai par dil kabhi nahi bhoolta.’ That’s very true for my dadu."
She continued by saying that because of the disease, her grandfather doesn't even remember Aneet. She shared that her grandfather didn't see her film, Saiyaara as he is bedridden, but when he saw a couple of clips of Aneet, he instantly recognised her. Aneet explained how special that moment was for her. She shared:
"He doesn’t remember my name; he doesn’t remember much. But he still calls me ‘Heeraput’ or ‘Makkhan’. The last few times I visited, he was okay with me sitting next to him—familiar but unaware of who I am. When my film released, he couldn’t go to the theatre since he’s bedridden. So my parents showed him videos, and he smiled, saying, ‘Heeraput’ and ‘Makkhan di movie.’ That was very special."
In the same interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aneet Padda recalled a sweet and special memory from her audition days with Ahaan Panday. Aneet mentioned that when she was auditioning for the film, Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday had taken her to a church, where they both lit a candle as well. Later, when she got the role, Ahaan had admitted that he had wished for her to get selected. In her words:
"When I was still auditioning for Saiyaara, Ahaan took me to Mount Mary Church. We lit a candle, and I asked him what he wished for. He turned it back on me. A week later, when I got the call, he admitted he had wished I’d get the role."
Aneet Padda is an emerging Hindi film actress from Amritsar. She completed her college education at Jesus and Mary College. Soon, she went into modelling and started appearing in commercials.
