Television actress, Dalljiet Kaur has been the talk of the town as she reportedly is facing troubles in her second marriage. The actress raised many eyebrows ever since she deleted all her pictures with her husband, Nikhil Patel and also removed his surname from her Instagram bio. All this led to speculations about troubles in the couple's marital bliss.
For those who are unaware, Dalljiet Kaur was previously married to actor, Shalin Bhanot, and the couple has a son named Jaydon, who lives with Dalljiet. However, Dalljiet and Shalin parted ways in 2016, after their marriage hit a rough patch. Then, the actress gave love and marriage a second chance and tied the knot with Nikhil Patel, who works in a finance company, on March 18, 2023. Dalljiet's UK-based businessman-husband currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya, and he has two daughters from his previous marriage, Aariyana and Anika.

In an interview with TellyChakkar, Dalljiet Kaur was asked about being judged as a stepmother after her second marriage to Nikhil Patel. Talking about her bond with Nikhil Patel's daughters, the actress said that it is all about intentions and that one cannot replace anyone's parents. She added that whatever happens between a husband-wife, the child is not responsible and nothing should come to the latter. She said:
"I don't know the relationship between step-mother or step-father. There are a lot of emotions attached. Aap apne intention se, aapko lagta hai ki aap iss umar mei aap join hue hai kisi bacche ki journey mei, toh as an individual, as a friend, as a guardian, as a step parent, jo aap naam dede, aap apni taraf se best karei. Kyunki uss bacche ki toh koi galti kabhi thi nahi, you know."
Further in the interview, Dalljiet Kaur was asked what she missed out on after shifting out of India. Responding to the same, she shared that now that her kids have grown up and are settled, she wants to gear back to work in India. She also added that a woman's career should not stop after getting g married or having kids and said:
"I think I have left my career, and just for that, I have come back. I will be having some meetings, and I want to do some work because now the kids are big and are settled and the fact that I worked for twenty years and to leave that is not right and now I want to work, and travel to work. I am also looking out for daily soaps. I think the emotions, hard work, and awards that I put into my work all should come together. Just because one is married or has kids doesn't mean their career should be over. I feel it's the right time to start working."

She was also asked about her husband, Nikhil's take on her returning to work and if he was supporting her on this. To which, Dalljiet shared that her husband is also busy travelling and making his career, just like her. In her words:
"He is travelling too and making his career, so I am also making my career. It's as simple as that."
