Producer, Ektaa Kapoor had revealed that her magnum opus, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, went off air before it could hit the 2000 episodes milestone. They needed just 150 more episodes for that. Hence, she wanted to hit this record with season 2 of the show, which will have 150 episodes only, reported Hindustan Times. As per sources, promos and posters have already been shot, and the second season should have aired on screens from July 3, 2025, the date when the 1st season was aired in 2000.
However, there was a delay in the schedule, and instead of premiering on July 3, 2025, the shooting process began on this day. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Amar Upadhyay revealed that the reason for this delay was due to issues with the set. The set had to be reworked because the colour combination did not look well on screen. With this change in schedule, the premiere date has not been announced yet. According to reports, protocols are also being followed, with mobile phones restricted and a limited number of people allowed near the sets. The team also wants to prevent any kind of photo or video leaks to the public.
