Alix Earle Breaks Down While Confirming Her Recent Break Up With Braxton Berrios, 'That Was Scary..'

The influencer had an impressive run on the dance floor, marking a significant high for her professional life. But just when the 24-year-old was collecting praises for her hard work, it was followed by a personal heartbreak. Just days later, when the absence of Alix's boyfriend, Braxton, on the dance reality show raised breakup buzz, she confirmed her split with the NFL wide receiver.

Alix Earle recently took to her Instagram handle on December 13, 2025 and confirmed the months-long speculation about her breakup with Braxton Berrios. She shared an emotional video and admitted that ending her relationship with the 30-year-old NFL star was "really hard to process" for her. The social media influencer admitted that she had intentionally avoided speaking about the split in public because that makes it "more real" for her. In her words:

"I think it was more of a me thing. However, I constantly felt guilty, and I love Braxton; he's my best friend, after all. It's been really difficult as we try to move forward with this. It just kind of feels like we're on two different paths right now."

Alix added that the split had taken an emotional toll on her and she is struggling privately to continue with her hectic schedule. According to Alix, the decision was not caused by any drama or hatred, but rather fueled by personal growth and shifting priorities for each of them. Consequently, she does not want any animosity or fans attacking him online. 

Alix Earle reflects on her life after the split with Braxton Berrios 

A few hours after confirming her split, Alix turned to TikTok and reflected on her personal life after parting ways with Braxton. She shared a new post featuring a video of herself lying in bed, in which she mentioned that her approach ahead of her upcoming 25th birthday is different from usual, due to her recent breakup. In her words:

"Is my frontal lobe developing because I'm about to turn 25, and usually I stress about having the biggest party, but all I want to do is work out, meditate, play card games, and have good convos with the ppl closest to me. Either I'm maturing or just really going through it. Maybe both."

What caused Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios' breakup after nearly 2 years of dating? 

In her Instagram video, Alix Earle also clarified the exact reason for her breakup. She admitted that there was no external reason for their split, but their long-distance arrangement and personal growth ultimately led them down this path. She explained that she had temporarily moved to LA for Dancing With The Stars, where she realised how she enjoyed the independence and motivation to focus on herself. Sharing how the new feeling was scary for her, she said:

"I thought that, you know, maybe I wanted to stay (in LA), and I felt really motivated. And I think that was a scary thing for me to realise, because it meant us not being in the same place. A part of me just also really wants to be focusing on myself right now, and I just feel like I can't be what Braxton needs. I want him to have someone with him 24/7, who can support him and be there for him."

Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios' dreamy love story 

Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios met in February 2023 at a party in Miami, shortly after the NFL wide receiver's earlier breakup. Soon, they began talking and developed a strong chemistry. Their relationship quickly gained attention after Braxton asked Earle out on a surprise helicopter date. Alix had previously kept the identity of her boyfriend private and referred to him as her 'NFL man' on TikTok. Later, the duo began making public appearances together, such as the 2023 ESPY awards, and she confirmed their bond on the Call Her Daddy podcast. 

Alix and Braxton continued to support each other through 2024, and she even attended his games. On the other hand, Braxton promoted her SipMARGS brand and social media content. In April 2025, Alix moved to his Miami home, but soon things changed when Braxton signed with the Houston Texans, and Alix competed on Dancing With The Stars Season 34 in LA.
