Alien: Earth is the first TV series set in the universe of the classic Alien franchise, but this time with a twist. The TV series is set to premiere on August 12, 2025, on FX on Hulu, continuing the story of the Alien franchise. The TV series now gives a new direction to the Alien universe, as it's not based in space but rather on Earth itself, with some new characters, and fascinating action along with some xenomorph elements and more. So, without further ado, let's dive deep into the world of Alien: Earth.
The series takes place in the year 2120, when huge corporations run the world, not governments. These corporations control everything around the world. Rather than keeping the plot revolving in outer space, the series actually captures the essence of the Earth, as it's set right there. One of these corporations, Prodigy, created synthetic children who carry around human minds in their adult robotic bodies. One of the main characters, 'Wendy', played by Sydney Chandler, and her siblings are raised by 'Boy Genius', who treats them as a symbol of hope and future immortality.
Following this, the twists arrive as a spaceship crashes into Southeast Asia, which has been carrying dangerous aliens. 'Wendy', along with her other siblings, was sent out on a mission to crash the site. Robot 'Krish' followed them, and the mission has been a mix of mystery, horror, and action. The island, which encapsulates the entire incident, resembles a prison. The plot explores several topics that evoke emotions, including the human experience, the impact of technology on emotions, and its potential to alter life and death.
When the series was announced, one thing that came to mind was how the monotonous theme of alien movies would be turned into a series with a new twist, but it's really amazing how Alien: Earth has been planned. Sydney Chandler did an amazing job with her role in the series, who carries a human mind that makes her childish, keeping her in a synthetic body, and this amalgamation blended emotions within, which worked in favour of the series.
Along with this, the background music and themes brought nostalgia to the plate, as they are similar to the Alien movies. The Xnomorph actions of the aliens brought a horror touch to the series, and while season 4 felt a bit slow, it actually worked pretty well along with the entire plot, which was unique in its kind.

Audience has been in awe of the TV series, Alien: Earth, with its unique kind, which was to set the movie on Earth, and amalgamating it with human emotions. The theme is dark and creepy, and it's mostly a slow burn, but it hooked the audience from start to finish.
One user penned, "‘ALIEN: EARTH’ is everything I wanted it to be. This is the Alien franchise at its absolute finest, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it! #AlienEarth." Another user penned, "As a big Legion fan, I had total faith in Noah Hawley taking on Alien, and he didn’t let me down. #AlienEarth is unmistakably Alien, but it’s also very much its own beast, too, an earthbound twist on the classic horror that throws big questions and bigger critters your way. Love it."
So, Alien: Earth, although a slow-burning series, keeps the audience thrilled with its first-of-its-kind Earth set-up!
