Alia Bhatt is back in the headlines once again, but this time, it’s for her Boho glam and carefree vibes as she switched gears from a Cannes diva to attending bridesmaid duties. Just days after her show-stopping debut at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the actress wasted no time and flew straight to Spain to attend the wedding celebrations of her close friend, Tanya Saha Gupta, who tied the knot with David Angelov.

And now, the Bollywood diva ditched the red carpets for flower showers, bringing her signature charm and style to the Spanish wedding festivities, as she attended the wedding of Tanya Saha Gupta and David Angelov. 

In videos now going viral across social media platforms, Alia is seen enjoying every moment of her best friend's big day. One particularly candid clip shows the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress laughing heartily as flower petals are showered on the newlyweds. The joy and vibrancy in the video perfectly matched her outfit. 

Alia paired a multicoloured kalidar lehenga with a mustard yellow corset-style blouse adorned with shell detailing. Adding a unique spin to her look, she accessorised with a purple bandanna and a pair of dark sunglasses, giving the traditional lehenga a fresh, Boho-chic twist. Her carefree energy, radiant smile, and offbeat fashion choices instantly made her the life of the celebration, and the internet is obsessed.

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor joins the festivities

In the clips from the fun wedding that have been making the rounds on the internet, we also spotted Alia’s childhood friend and actress, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, attending the festivities, donning a stunning purple lehenga. The two actresses were seen dancing and laughing together, and it was pure friendship goals.

Before flying to Spain, Alia made headlines for her Cannes red carpet debut. Starting with a nude Schiaparelli gown from the Spring 2025 couture collection, to arriving later in the evening sporting a body-hugging mesh tube gown from Armani’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, adorned with intricately placed shimmering stones and celestial blue gemstones. While both looks had gotten everyone talking, Alia’s appearance in a custom Gucci saree for the closing ceremony became an iconic moment from the show, which also marked Gucci’s first interpretation of the Indian heritage wear.
