By the end of 2020, the headlines had reported that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will tie the knot in 2021. Reportedly, earlier Ranbir and Alia had plans to get married in 2020 but due to COVID-19 and the demise of former’s father, Rishi Kapoor, they had decided to take the plunge in 2021. Amid the reports, Alia had clarified in an interview with Pinkvilla, “When will I marry? Why is everyone asking me when I’m going to get married? You know I’m only 25 years old, and I think it’s too soon to get married right now.”
Soon after Alia Bhatt’s denial on her 2021 wedding with beau, Ranbir Kapoor, the 38-year-old star had confirmed that if not for the pandemic, they would have sealed the deal this year. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, when the journalist had recalled Ranbir saying that he wanted to be married by 32 and have kids by 34 and asked him to comment on it, the Brahmastra star had retorted, “Well, I think it would have already been sealed if the pandemic had not hit our lives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life.” (Also Read: Alia Bhatt Proves Her 'Ishq Wala Love' For Ranbir Kapoor By Admitting She Loves The Number 8 [VIDEO])
